Forest Ridge Apartments has been under new management since last year! A major renovation campaign has been initiated since this past spring 2015. Our primary focus is gutting out the apartments and renovating them. Meanwhile we are approximately half way through completion of putting new siding on the buildings, installing new landscaping, and painting and carpeting of building hallways. Water conditioners have been installed in every building, heat systems have been updated, plumbing repairs fixed, and major pool repairs completed! Our continued renovations will include upgrading laundry rooms, storage rooms, and installing all new windows at the community this coming January 2016. There is a lot going on and some residents, such as yourself, may still reside in an older style apartment. We agree that there are some issues in these apartments but since we are renovating all vacant apartments these problems will discontinue. We are discouraged to hear of your issues and problems but we are optimistic that the potential for this community is great. Renovations like ours, of course do not happen overnight but we are committed to this work, its completion and proud of our changes so far! We are aware of the bad reputation that this community had in the past and we are working hard to create a new one that you and everyone living here can be proud of. Hi! I would like to address your concerns as I have noticed that you have commented on this website before. I'm super happy that you have noticed our new management, but I'm disappointed you haven't noticed all of the differences we have been making. That just means we need to work harder to show you! Several prior posts have stated that residents were unable to see their apartment until move-in. I'm guessing this was a policy under the prior management. As new management we will try to show you your actual apartment as soon as we possibly can (provided the prior resident has moved out and maintenance is complete :) ) A brand new model has been established which will show case the quality and layout of our apartments. We did not do anything "fancy" to our model to make it look better than an apartment that you may rent with us. We did place some furniture in it so you can get an idea of the size of the space. If you moved in before your posting in June you likely have not seen this model. In regard to our pool...we do have another post about this which we encourage you to read. I would love it if I could eliminate all of your remaining complaints right now. If you are still living with us I encourage you to email me directly at [email protected] and I will be sure to address them. Taking over a new community (especially one that has been neglected by prior management) can mean the process of correcting problems takes a bit longer. We are adamant that the location is ideal and can not be beat. Additionally the community and the residents who have stayed living with us or moved in with us since we have taken over management deserve better. We want residents to be happy to come home to Forest Ridge Apartments.
Sorry that you noticed our big-ugly pool this summer. We were very upset that as new management we were unable to open it this year. After recently purchasing the community we found the pool to have been sold to us in disrepair and in need of a large quantity of work. Our priority upon taking over was to build a great maintenance team and take care of a plethora of neglected maintenance requests left from prior management. We promise to have it open in Spring 2015!
New management has purchased the community as of March 13, 2014! We are disappointed to see your review here just before taking over, but we are excited to turn things around and make sure that your complaints are not just heard but addressed as well. Thank you for providing the information that you have so we can fix these issues. As you likely already know all of the maintenance staff were let go when the community sold in March. So a brand new team is now in place. We are working hard to make sure we have a maintenance team that completes your requests timely, courteously, and with quality workmanship. Hopefully you have already witnessed the improvements at the community since we took over. As far as viewing your apartment prior to move-in: Under the new management we will show you a model apartment always. If we can also show an actual apartment we will show it as well. We guarantee that you will ALWAYS see your apartment before moving in. Typically, prior to signing your lease or receiving keys we show you your new home first. Our model is a great sample and reflects the community well, but we understand that nothing beats seeing your actual new apartment! In regard to the office staff, laundry room issues, and marijuana complaints: Again, we hope you have noticed the change in office staff as well, since we took over.
