These apartments are nice! (despite previous reviews)
I lived here for three years and just moved due to a job relocation. To be honest I moved in initially to be close to OU but mostly because it was super cheap-$550 and right in downtown Rochester. You can't beat the location-its tucked away and quiet but right next to main street downtown. A 5 minute drive to class and a 5 minute walk to the bars downtown -a students dream:) summer was the best!
After my first lease I wanted to leave-it was really terrible. Maintenance never fixed anything and the office people were rude. I stayed only due to the price and I guess I'm more tolerant than most because my friends thought I was crazy for putting up with this place. The apartments are old and maintenance just never fixed anything. I couldn't afford to move while I was paying for school though so I stayed while I finished my last year at OU.
HOWEVER-last spring new management took over the place. The new management has been making a lot of improvements and their staff is really nice. Maintenance is respectful-when they came into my apartment they introduced themselves, wore shoe covers, and took care of a shower leak I had for two years with the old management.
My building was cleaned up and painted and they put new carpet in. You can see the people who live here changed too. the noisy kids who used to live downstairs(parties literally every weekend) left -or got kicked out-.
When I left I chatted with the office people and they said the apartments are getting updated and they have plans to update the outside of the buildings too. the outside of the buildings are run down so if they do that it will be really nice.
Overall, it's a great price and a really cool spot. I hope the new management keeps up what they started.
