Bad. Just plain bad.
Where oh where do I begin? Well, I guess I can start with the leasing office. Three adjectives that come to mind when thinking of my experiences: Crabby, snippy and uncooperative. My building in particular has dealt with a long and greuling series of plumbing problems that turned into an even bigger disaster to fix. No hot water was also a reoccuring issue. But I think the worse part, by far, which I was unaware of when signing my lease agreement, was the dj by the pool each and every Saturday throughout the entire summer. A good dj, OK, that might be kind of fun. But this guy spun things like a remix of Celine Dion's Titanic theme song, "Who Let the Dogs Out?", and "Achy Breaky Heart". I ended up driving to my parents or a friend's home every weekend to spend my Saturdays in peace away from Jock Jams and love ballots of the 70s. Look out for giant potholes in the parking lot, too, which actually had me calling a toe truck to make my way out of and the teeny tiny washing machines ($1.25 to wash and $1.25 to dry! It went up $0.50 since I moved in). If this place was smack downtown, OK, I'd pay the price. This location is definitely not worth its price tag. They do allow cats and small dogs, but not without an additional hefty price for their rent and initial payment as well. The carpeting was stained upon arrival, my closet door was cracked along with a wall in my room. They'll show you around the club house a whole lot--the pictures they show on the village park website is of the clubhouse NOT the apartments--but the apartments themselves are nothing more than shabby shoeboxes. And if you get your security deposit back, you're lucky. They'll pick apart anything to keep your cash. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.Share This Review
