Good grief, where does one begin? Once the resident manager gets your signature on a lease, you become a nuisance (unless you are a college kid...she LOVES young people, apparently). This woman has some terrible attitude issues...just pay up and shut up seems to be her motto. The remainder of the office staff is generally helpful. The maintenance/housekeepers (Doug & Dan) do a decent job. The head groundskeeper is a first-rate hole and couldn't be less helpful if he tried! As for the building, it's the crackerbox everyone says it is. With paper-thin walls and ceilings, it really does sound like everyone on the floor above are enormous, from all the creaks and groans. The inside trash chute rooms are a plus, as is the inside mail room. Nice weight room, community room and kitchen area. Security leaves a lot to be desired...everyone in town has the security codes for the doors! As the place is 'pet-friendly', it is also 'pet-waste' disgusting. Uh huh...doggie-doo! The outside parking areas are adequately lit. The garages are merely individual stalls...wet after every rain, with standing water at the entrances and ice buildups in the winter. DO NOT store anything you value in the garages! ZERO SECURITY!! The proximity to the waterway and locks is very nice. The place is NOT family-friendly...no place for kids to play (especially in the winter), so they run the halls and community room. However, the college 'kids' love it here...party central! This could be a decent place for the money if it had a decent person in charge and some rules enforcement. As it now stands though, I'd never live there again.
