When I went to sign my lease I asked to see my unit first and thank God! The unit had not been cleaned: the toilet was dirty (rings), used tissue was in the cabinet and the paneling was coming off of the cabinet door. But the WORST part was the appliances. The stove was so old and used that half of the paint was missing off of the stove and it was extremely dirty and greasy. The refrigerator was extremely old. When I mentioned to the property manager Tess that the unit did not look like the model and that realizing the appliances were going to used, I did not think this dated. She explained to me that all of their appliances were dated. When I asked for information to contact corporate she immediately let me know that nothing was going to change. Corporate never called me back. They told her to switch the stove out. She was rude and working in her flip flops, a indicator of how she was going to be on the service side. She was comfortable in having me move into that unit which showed her lack of pride in her property. No return call directly from Bayshore properties immediately let me know how future issues would be handled. If you are looking for good service and value to match your cost Tess and Southfield Apartments are not the place to go! I never moved and it has been worth losing the $200.00 which they have not felt compelled to return. If you are like me and that it was the same quality of apartments that the reputation of Oakwood Apartments were, think again with the name change and management change came a quality change.
