Resident 2006 Not Recommended
Reviewed 09/01/2006
Beware! I've been there for 6 months and I will NOT sign another lease. The tenants are either older or single mothers with little to no income (I have nothing against them but that's the atmosphere). I should've known something was funny when my part-time income was enough to move in.

If you can afford to move somewhere better PLEASE DO. $550 for a 2-bed room is a steal and believe me...you get what you pay for. No central air, no ceiling fan, old appliances; (I finally got brand new appliances when new mgt. came aboard and I called 1,000 times), towel racks falling out the wall, bathroom fan doesn't work, no light fixtures in the bedrooms - you have to use lamps, so small you can't get a queen size box-spring up the stairs at all unless you crack or force it. Police everywhere 'patrolling' the area, state troopers arresting people at 9am.

I found out from Taylor Police that this area was extremely drug infested so they've had to ‘crack down’ on everybody. If your visitors are not accompanied by you they may be arrested for ‘trespassing’ and/or ‘violating the public housing act’ I’ve seen it happen. It was never advertised as being a ‘public housing complex’ or I would’ve looked a little harder for something else. Like someone mentioned, this is subsidized/section 8 property.

If you've seen this place then you know that there is a huge field next to the property. The lot housed more 'projects' but they were torn down

If this is all you can afford then okay but if not move somewhere else.
