LOVE THIS PLACE!

I have bee n reading these reviews for The Crossing at Eagle Pond, and I must say, they do this place no justice. I have not lived here for years, but the time that I have been here has been great. Some people had complaints about the improvements being done, washing your clothes, noise, management, security, etc. Seriously people, do you have nothing better to do with your time than complain about things that are "just life"? Unless you own your own home out in the woods somewhere where no one can take your parking spot, or make noise, or you do your laundry by hand then hang dry them so you don't have to use a washer and dryer, all these issues would be the same anywhere you go, maybe even worse. Let me start by saying, the only way you can get change is by making improvements. Yes, they may be taking more time than you think they should be, but like the saying goes, "good things come to those who wait." I bet when all the work is done and all the improvements are made, you won't be "ashamed" to let people come over to see you. I'm sure if you are still around, you may even ENJOY some of these new amenities, kinda like our BRAND NEW GYM :) Now on to laundry....One person complained about having to pay for water AND having to pay for using the washer and dryer. So lets think about this, if again, you owned your own home, not only would you have to pay for water every month, but you would also have had to buy a washer and dryer to do your laundry. So, I figured, if you add up how much it cost to do 4 loads of laundry here a week for 1 year, it would cost you about $572. That is LESS than you would pay for a new, or even decent used washer and dryer. Maintenance and management....I have no complaints about either. I have had to put in a few work orders for things that needed to be fixed, and I was very pleased with their service. I really like the fact that you can request to have them call before entering your apartment, and they actually do call you. They have always been professional, and prompt. As far as management, the biggest reason why I chose to move here was because the 4 times I came to look at the apartment (yes, I know a bit excessive)not one time did the management even remotely seem to be irritated at me. They answered all my questions and requests without hesitation. They made me feel welcome and at home even though I was moving from over a thousand miles away. Not to mention, 3 out of the 4 times I came here, there were other tenants in the office "just visiting". I took that as a good sign, because out of all 15 places I looked at, this was the only place that happened. So, if you haven't taken the time to visit and get to know management, you are surely missing out. I don't know how past management was, but I do know how management is now, and they are great! Security, well, what can I say....I have to agree with you on that one, he is a joke. Maybe one day they will get REAL security, but until then, I guess we just have to be proactive and protect ourselves. Again, overall I love this place and I hope new residents are not discouraged from the low ratings. You will never know until you give it a chance!
