Thank you for your review and helpful comments. While I realize that our growing community brought changes that did not appeal to everyone, we truly enjoyed having you here the past 4 years and hope that you are enjoying your new home. I apologize for the delayed response regarding the utility bills that you have mentioned; however, COVID-19 has caused set-backs in accessing the information needed in order make an educated decision that would render any possible refund or adjustment. DTE is operating with decreased staff has not been able to identify any specific reason for the increased charges, other that the excessive and consistent high temperatures during the last two summers. With the cooler temperatures upon us, it is difficult to compare usage with the current residents; as the air conditioner is no longer being used as it was in your final weeks here in the community. A full move-out inspection was completed following your move out and there was nothing found that would indicate a cause for added usage. Should DTE determine a cause that has not yet been identified, I will contact you and follow up as information becomes available. Thank you for your review. I am glad to know that you and your mother are getting out for walks and enjoying the many amenities offered here in the neighborhood. Please know that we work hard to maintain the property and limit any added cost as much as possible; however, we too have experience increased costs for services such as lawn care, snow removal; irrigation and rubbish removal. Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention. Let me first address the topic of pet waste - Being a large community that allows larger dogs and up to 3 pets per household, it is important that we have a way to monitor the proper clean up and disposal of pet waste. Here at Kirkway we have implemented the Pet DNA program known as Poo Prints. This program allows us to properly identify those that are not picking up after their pets and then rightfully fine that resident for not following the community rules and pet policies. Dog owners receive 2 warnings that do include fines; and yes, a 3rd violation does result in the resident's loss of pet privileges where they either rehome their pet or must move off the property. This policy was put into place in the best interest of other pet owners and also for those residents that do not own a pet and do not care to have to deal with the pet waste of someone else's dog. This program has allowed us to welcome residents with up to 3 pets while still maintaining the grounds for everyone in the community. Recent COVID restrictions did prevent the direct contact involved in collecting the DNA; however, we are back on track and have made it a priority to collect all DNA swabs from those pets that moved into the community during the shut-down and we are once again able to send samples in for proper testing. Proper testing will result in less pet waste being left behind. Please contact myself or the management office if you continue to find pet waste left behind by others. With regard construction, I am pleased to announce that we are in the final phase of construction with anticipated completion of summer 2021. We will continue to work towards minimizing the disruption to others to the best of our ability. We appreciate your patience while we complete this final phase of our beautiful community and hope that you will continue to enjoy your home here in the Kirkway neighborhood. Our four-legged residents are important too and we enjoy the opportunity to provide them with the gated dog run, well stock ed pet stations and lots of room to walk and get plenty of exercise. Thank you for your review and comments. It looks like you may have purchased a home shortly after you moved here to Kirkway and singed your lease. I would be happy to meet with you to discuss some options that would allow you to move into your new home but also minimize your exposure to lease break fees and continued rent charges on the lease that you signed at move in. Please call the office so that we can set up a time to discuss these options in more detail. We are very proud of our award-winning maintenance and after-hours emergency service and while we do not provide after-hours assistance with lock-outs we do provide after-hours assistance for No Heat, No Hot Water, Water Leak or non-working appliance. Perhaps we could offer you a spare key for emergencies. You are also able to program the key pad on your garage door in the case that you are left without a garage remote or do not have key access through your front door. You can request an extra key via a service request on the resident portal or I too am happy to make that request for you. Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.
