Country Meadows Apartments
Resident • 2016 Not Recommended
I've lived at Country Meadows since January of 2016 in a 2 bedroom on the third floor and at first it wasn't bad. The hallways are pretty nasty and always smell bad (like weed, animals, food, etc.) but my roommate and I just try to ignore it the best we can. Management isn't good, they're rude and even if you put in a request to get something fixed it will take weeks to get fixed. Cupboards and appliances are outdated and grimy. Our fridge freezes all of our food and our freezer doesn't keep things frozen, people have come to look at it and even said that it needs to be replaced but we know that won't happen. It's nice that heat is included, but since we can't control it we're often too hot or too cold. The AC unit smells like mold and doesn't work very well. During the summer the buildings smell absolutely awful, which probably comes from them being old buildings but it's clearly from them not being taken care of. The laundry room is inconvenient, and often don't clean or dry the clothes very well. The "workout room" is basically a closet with 3 or 4 machines in it, and it's constantly hot, nearly unusable. There are bug problems, not that they'll do anything about it. I'm a 20 year old female student and often come home late at night. We were told when we signed a lease that there would be security walking around at night, however I've never seen any. I often feel unsafe walking into my building at night by myself and when I'm home alone. My neighbors are loud and there are always children running around, unsupervised. We only pay $734, which is nice but we truly are getting what we paid for.
