Resident ā€¢ 2016 - 2018

3/16/2018

While this community has the potential to be the very best in the area, we have had a lackluster experience. The community is certainly making efforts to make "improvements" to the community but they seem to only be centered around improvements designed to push rents and attract new residents. Very little focus on maintaining current residents. They have taken great strides to improve the superficial curb appeal by installing garden and landscape features, little is done about the constant abundance of trash, cigarette butts, and dog poo all over the property. Indeed there are a lot of "amenities" and events at the community but a majority revolve around purchasing items from direct sales and consumption of alcohol. As for the apartments themselves they are meant to be quite lovely I'm sure. It is obvious that they apartments are turned over as fast as possible with the workers taking little pride in their work. Additionally, it seems like the work is not checked very well. Examples: There is hair stuck in the paint in almost every room in our apartment telling me that nothing was cleaned or wiped prior to painting. There are/were paint drips on the vanities, and tile floor of our bathroom. Air vents have been painted over so many times that you cannot adjust the airflow on most. Kitchen drawers and cabinets are of a decent enough quality but installation was terrible, we had a door fall off, they are not level, and big gaps are seen between the cupboard and ceiling. We live in an apartment with a fireplace (big mistake) which draws in extremely cold air to our apartment. Additionally, it seems like there is no luan or padding under our carpet just concrete. Which means cold floors, uneven floors, and very very hard floors. We have never had employees be overly impressive let alone go above and beyond for us. Most leasing office employees give an air that they are too busy to help you (unless you have an appointment) despite no customers being in the office. The management office is fine but does not make a lasting positive impression. Service team, well they make an effort but are curt and pretty rude. One service team member does stick out as very polite, competent, and pleasant to have in our home although I am sorry to say that he never gave his name and I didn't observe a name tag. The thing about this place is that I really really want to like it and I really really want to rate it as 5 stars. it has the potential to be that ... but it just isn't. Would I recommend this place, maybe but I would be honest about the shortcomings. Final note, DO NOT LOSE YOUR ID... you cant do anything or use any of the amenities without it which is so silly since its so easy to lose as you have to take it with you everywhere... who wants to take their whole purse or wallet to the gym or the pool???? if you're going to make the ID be required and charge $50 to replace it, you should probably offer a lanyard or something to help keep track of it.
