The Pines of Cloverlane is a great small community. The scenery is beautiful, the residents are nice, and the staff are friendly as well. Whenever I asked for something to be serviced, maintenance was in my apartment fixing it within 24 hours. If the service needed immediate attention, they were in my apartment within 6 hours. It's great to see a staff that cares! The only thing that turned me off about this place was one day, I went into the office to pay rent. I had just gotten furloughed from my job because of the pandemic. For 9 months, I've always made payments in full, and was never late. (Even when my bank account was hacked and all my money was stolen, I still made payments on-time). Anyways, I went into the office to let the staff know that I had just received a letter from my job letting me know that I was being furloughed. I told them I can make October & November's payment after dipping into savings, but December is when I may have some issues. I have been looking for a new job, but it's scarce especially since there is a nationwide pandemic and the job market is kind-of limited. The staff was emotional, apologized for this inconvenience, gave me all these sincere, emotional responses. That's when the building manager intervened and said, "Thanks for letting us know, but if we don't receive a payment by the 7th of the month, we'll be sending the account to the courts for collections!" I thought this was the most unprofessional thing ever! I understand this is a business, and people probably came in there with an excuse similar to mine, but NOBODY expects to be furloughed! NOBODY expected this pandemic to happen! NOBODY wants to lose their job! My payment history speaks volumes, and the fact that she just interrupted my conversation with the staff members to give me even more bad news, just wasn't something I wanted to hear. There's a way to speak to people! I just didn't appreciate it, and I thought her comment was RUDE and OUT OF LINE! If she doesn't know how to interact with people, why is she the building manager? I believe her name is April. The staff is wonderful (even the assistant manager Jonah)!
