Devonshire is, hands down, the absolute worst place to live. The walls are paper thin, so much that you can hear the neighbors having sex on the other side of the wall. What's worse, is that my heating bill in the winter (for a townhome) was hundreds of dollars a month! My roommate and I complained and the "maintenance" guys came over and jerry-rigged some insulation up around the door. Needless to say, we still had to keep our heat on constantly!

Also, beware if you have a ground-level apartment or townhome. There was a peeping Tom roaming around for several months and I had to find out about it from a neighbor! I called Devonshire and they were well aware of the situation, but FAILED to notify/warn us. Thanks a lot guys! This guys was peeping in ALL the garden-level homes and nobody even told us.

And watch out for the manager - she's a clueless idiot. When you call to talk to her, she's flustered and inarticulate. She'll promise to return your call, but don't hold your breath.

Also, when my roommate and I moved out, we were charged with a $75 "Misc Pet Fee", for which the manager was supposed to remove from our account in August, before we moved. Of course, she forgot, and now I'm being SUED for this money. Wasn't the $300 deposit and the $500 pet deposit enough? Not to mention we paid $25 additionally/month for the dog.

This place is a total DUMP - appliances are old, there are bugs EVERYWHERE (including in your shower - they crawl up through the drain), and the place is poorly managed by a woman without a clue. The outside of the property and the grounds appear nice, but don't be fooled. There are nicer, CHEAPER places to live that you would be happier in.

Don't live here!
