    Great place! Staff was great, liked the apartment and the Weight Room and Party Room. Grounds were clean, and the underground parking that is included was pretty sweet in the winter time! Rent was a little high, but it keeps the riff raff out.

      I've had a good experience here. The folks in the office are always friendly, and are responsive to concerns. The few maintenance calls I've had to make were immediately addressed. It's always quiet between the designated "quiet hours" of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. I really like the kitchen and closet space. Do I wish the washers and dryers were newer? Yes. Do I wish all my neighbors were as quiet as me? Sure! But this is, after all, community living. And considering that, Cedars Lakeside has been a good and safe place to live.

        I have lived in this community for three years and have been very satisfied. Everything has improved significantly with the new manager and his staff. I never have to worry about anything not being taken care of because it always is. Maintenance is just great and usually go out of their way to make sure all is completed. Our laundry rooms are very clean and with the exception of a washer or dryer breaking down they are always being taken care of. The office goes out of it's way to make sure packages are delivered and if we want them delivered to our door that is also done. I have not had a problem here at all and would definitely recommend renting here to anyone who would ask. The staff here go out of their way to make sure our homes are clean, safe, and comfortable. I have lived in a few apartments and this is by far the best so far.

          I posted a review to google from my boyfriends account, but the review seems to have disappeared so I am posting here. I've been a tenant of the 2799 building for awhile, but am now considering terminating my contract with this complex. I would like it stated that I am posting anonymously as I still reside here and am extremely freightened the office staff would retaliate. Things have not been the same since the ladies who worked in the office left. I only just found out two of them no longer work here. The guys who now have stepped in place of them are very sarcastic when I've asked questions, and have a huge "I don't care" attitude whenever I come into the office (which is rare these days). I often wonder if the young one even does anything. The cops are constantly here. In fact, there were just 5 of them in the parking lot surrounding a car. I can only assume what for. We can't even report to the office because it's constantly closed. Just the other day a persons vehicle was vandalized and still the office has yet to install cameras.             PLEASE READ BEFORE THINKING OF RENTING HERE! THIS IS A HONEST REVIEW. By far my WORST renting experience. The staff is rude/invasive, they come up with excuses to go into your apartment, they let strangers into your apartment 2 1/2 months before your lease is up to show it, the garage is very moldy and in disrepair, the dryers and washers don't don't clean or dry your clothes right so you have to pay to dry or wash them twice. If you value privacy or have nice stuff you don't want the world to see I suggest going anywhere else because their staff will let themselves in often and show your apartment months and months before lease is up soon as they know your leaving. Once you move in expect your rent cost to increase after your lease is up and you want to renew, they know you don't want to go through the work to move again so they jack up the rent which is already way over priced.               Hello, we understand your situation when it comes to showing an apartment that has been put on notice. However, since you put your notice to vacate in 2 and ½ months before you moved; we are allowed to show your apartment per the agreement you signed. We certainly try to rent it fast so that we are not constantly interrupting your lifestyle; however, it's all in how often people want to see it and how quickly it rents. In addition, the only other time we are in your apartment is when you have a maintenance work order to have completed. Otherwise, we always notify you in advance. We are sorry to hear that you feel our new remodeling efforts are subpar; but we work hard with our Design Team to make exceptional changes for our residents. Any changes we can do will always be considered an increase and a big improvement over what had been there prior. Unfortunately rent increases come with renting apartment homes. However, our rent increase was tied into our remodel projects, which included granite counter tops, brand new cupboards, flooring, and lighting. Our rents reflect what the market is and you will likely pay in equal rent at a property similar to ours. Additionally, we have implemented several security features. We have re-keyed the entire property and are in the process of getting bids to have security cameras installed in the garage. Lastly, the reason we don't allow extra sets of keys for other people who are not on the lease; is because they have not applied to live at our property and unless they do, they haven't passed our security guidelines.               I've lived here for 3+ years and it's easily the best place I've ever rented from. Staffers are great, maintenance is prompt (and fixes things properly), and facilities are very nice. There are several parties and events throughout the year as well. Everything is well maintained, and upgrades happen frequently too. Closest thing to a problem I've had here was when a new renter accidentally parked in my spot, and that was cleared up pronto.

                Do not move here! Staff is rude and intrusive. Unless you like random people coming in and out of your apartment with 2 months still on your lease then this is the place for you. The staff comes in and out as they please (without notice mind you), and are very rude. Any fixes done by maintenence are terrible (An amateur would do better repairs). Way overpriced! 960 for a 1 bedroom that is falling apart!? Oh, and rent will be going up according to the letter I received. The walls are also as good as cardboard, you feel like you are living with your neighbors. Overall this is BY FAR the worst place i've lived in, PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE!

This is never our intention. It is our hope that our residents have a positive and enjoyable experience while making Cedars Lakeside their home. If there is a specific experience you would like to share we recommended calling our office directly. By sharing your experience it helps us understand what exactly happened, how you felt and if there are things we can do differently as we strive to give everyone a home they can be proud of. As far as entering your home for the last two months of your residency, this give us time to re-rent your home. Part of that process is showing it to prospective renters who like to view the actual home they would be renting. We make sure to tour during reasonable hours, to do our best to accommodate residents with their schedule, and are stringent on our practice of notifying all residents in advance of entering their home whether it is in writing or verbally. Your comments have enlightened us on the perceptions of former residents like yourself as well as current residents by encouraging to be more in tune with how we approach residents to ensure positive experiences We are happy to say that our remodeling project is scheduled for mid-July - August.                   I am not at all happy living here at cedar lake community. Maintenance people (on-call) as well as staff is rude. They're not friendly. They are not understanding about the situation. Called so many times to the BIGOS management to complaint about the rude behavior of the staff and maintenance people, they never responded back to my phone call. Parking rules are worst. definitely, I would not recommend staying here at cedar Lake Community. I can't explain everything here, I got very bad experience with these guys.

                    I would not recommend anyone to live here. I have required maintenance several times in my apartment, and they were very slow to get a work order, never came when they said they would, and I would never know if they would be walking through the door to fix what needed fixing. I am also very disappointed in the management. They are slow to resolve problems and extremely quick to point fingers. I think that a lot of us in this complex have general complaints and concerns, and the management is very quick to find a resident to blame. There is no working with them in resolving problems, because they are always right, and you are wrong. The things that have to be paid for at this specific complex versus previous complexes I have lived at are ridiculous. If you get a new car, you have to pay for a new sticker, if you misplace your parking pass and need a temporary one, you have to pay a great deal of money to get a piece of paper to hang in your guests car.                       I'd do it again

                      I have lived here coming up on 2 and a half years. Really haven't had too many complaints. Normal complaints like people smoking outside and the smoke coming into my apartment (smoking is allowed in the building so not much can be done about that....) and the noise from people walking down the stairs gets annoying because it sounds like EVERYONE is stomping down the steps (there are alot of college students that live here so some very well could be...) We (my wife and I) haven't had any complaints with the management. Of course we don't treat them like dirt as some people do. We have had a few issues come up with our apartment and the maintenance guy usually came by the next day to either fix it or place an order to get an outside company to come and fix it (our carpet was coming up from where the linoleum met up withe the carpet) But they did fix it. I guess the reason I'm writing this is cause I want an honest review for the next person looking. Like the title says, I'd do it again.

                        overall a nice place to live

                        I have really enjoyed living at Cedars Lakeside for the last year. The office staff is very friendly and willing to help. Although we had a few maintenance issues, they were quickly resolved by super nice maintenance guys! The apartments themselves are very well kept. The common areas could use a little TLC. I have lived with roommates in the Spruce layout which is the largest 2 bedroom/2 bath and we have found that it is more than enough space for 4 college girls!! There is TONS of closet space--more than we need:) My only complaint is that it would have been a wise investment for them to have put washer and dryers in each individual unit...there is definitely space for it and it would have been a nice addition to a great apartment--there is community laundry on every floor though.

                          I know it looks pretty nice on the outside, but I've never had a worse housing experience. There is a parking crisis at this apartment. Every night the lot fills with cars without any parking permits. The staff refuses to tow cars to make room for residents. We are instead told to try our luck parking at nearby businesses or to shell out $50 a month for underground parking. Unfortunately, I fell for the $50 a month scam, because they refuse to enforce parking in those spots as well. If you do plan on living here, know that your deposit is actually just part of a fee to live there. There is no way you will get any of it it back. The staff checking us out noted zero problems and even accused us of hiring a cleaning service. Then a check came back for about 10% of our deposit and numerous bogus fees attached. All attempts at contact have been ignored and I've moved on to trying to contact the parent company, Bigos. Also, do not do laundry on site. The machines do not work.                             When one lives in an apartment community there are some irritants one expects: some noise, some parking problems, an occasional problem with another renter, and so on. It is reasonable to expect these types of minor difficulties. At the same time, there can be major difficulties that one should not be expected to encounter, let alone tolerate. We have experienced the minor difficulties, as expected. Unfortunately, we have experienced major difficulties, as well. We entered Cedars at a time when the management was professional, concerned, and helpful. Management changed and has been an intolerable problem. The Property Manager is simply abusive at times. And her veracity is well beyond simply being in question. She is perfectly capable of "bait and switch"; meaning her's is one position today and another position tomorrow. Select members of the staff have informed me they can't wait to leave or be reassigned due to the Manager's treatment of them. Small person with a big need.                               A step above nearby apartments

                              I recently moved out of Cedars Lakeside after living there for 2.5 years. I should say upfront that this is the only apartment I have ever lived in, so it's difficult for me to compare it to other buildings with much authority, but I'll try to make this review as objective and useful for potential apartment seekers as I can. I initially chose to live here for three reasons. 1) As soon as I walked into the lobby, it looked more like a hotel than an apartment building. (Several guests of mine made the same observation over the years.) It's very nice and open and inviting; not just a wall of mailboxes and a cramped stairwell like other, lesser, apartments I've visited. 2) The apartment itself (I had a 940 sq. ft. 1-bedroom) was very spacious, and unusually shaped. It didn't look nor did it feel like living in a box. 3) Proximity to work. And there are several freeways within a mile or so, making it easy to get out and about.                                 Mostly Pleased

                                Overall, I'm content with my unit / home. However, one of my major complaints is the complete lack of sound insulation in the hallways / stairwells. You can honestly hear a 25lb toddler walking on tip toes down the hall, and up / down the stairwells is by far the most LOUD thing in the world. It's almost as if everyone here weighs 300 lbs (and that's not the case at all). Most of the other places I've lived have either had some kind of padding on the floors, or used better construction methods to ensure that the building is at least somewhat 'quiet'. Again, overall this place is nice. The pools nothing special, but we have one. The grounds are usually clean, the buildings are a bit out of date (the paint / wall paper in the hallways are straight from the 80's, and the color choice makes them seem dark), and for the most part the units are spacious. I would suggest, for the money, looking around a bit.                                   I have had no problems living here. Only reason I found this site is becasue of initial referral source. Seems like anyone can write whatever they want whether it is true or false. I have been here for just a year and have had no problems thus far. Parking is tight if you dont have a garage and it irritates me that those who do don't use it making it harder to find parking. Management has taken care of my cat, plants, and mail when I am on vacation. I so much appreciated it. For those reading 'negative' bashing posts, remember people say things they don't always mean, or even out right lie when they are upset. My thoughts are they don't have the courage to sit down like adults and discuss they're concerns like normal people.                                     Like everyone else said: AWFUL

                                    I'm a current resident, and we too were harassed since day one. We received three letters suck in our door about "violations" like having a bike, a sled, and some potted plants on our deck (gasp! The horror!). When we moved in, the young lady that was to process us in gave us the wrong set of keys, made us wait an hour and a half while she found the right ones, then failed to take our pet deposit before brushing us off for an apartment showing. She also failed to inform us about the garage stalls being assigned, rather than park-where-you-like as the outdoor parking lot is. This resulted in another letter and "violation" for both the pet deposit (which we immediately paid) and utilizing the incorrect garage stall. The harassment stopped after we wrote a 4 page letter to corporate (Bigos) detailing the harassment and general lack of professionalism and inability to talk to tenants face-to-face.                                       Do not move here!

                                      I have been harrassed Day one by Management. More specificly, -------. They constantly watch you and harrass you when you try to do anything in their parking lot. The pool was always dirty and the hallways are vaccummed at 7AM on a weekday! Also they mow the lawns around 8AM on a weekday. So ridiculous. They are nice when you sign the lease and afterwards, they will do nothing to make you happy. Rude and very unprofessional. Move here if you want to be continuously harrassed!

Its location is great, my apartmet looks out into woods and a lake, my neighbors are relatively quiet and the management is very good. I feel like any issues or maintenance problems that I have had have been addressed quickly and in a satisfactory manner.

                                          Pleased with our experience

                                          We have a short term (3 month) lease at this apartment building - one of the few in the area that was able to accommodate our specific needs while our new home is being built. The staff has been pleasant and helpful throughout our entire stay. The building maintenance has been spot on - promptly fixing a few minor things without imposing on us at all. The pool area is great and always clean and well-kept. The parking can get a little tight especially if you enter the parking lot a little later in the evening. Many times the only spaces left are the fire lanes. We do wish there were laundry facilities in the apartments, as there is ample space in the 3 bedroom units. We pay more to do our laundry here than our entire water bill at our old house so that's a bit unfortunate. The noise level is extremely low - we had 2 small children and we've asked the neighbors to let us know if they are too noisy and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that they could not hear us at all.                                             I have lived at cedars for a while now and have no complaints. The grounds are always very well kept and i love having the gym equipment to use and the tanning bed! I would have to say for the most part i dont have to deal with management i pay my rent on time every month and dont park where or when im not suppose to. When i have had to deal with anyone on the property my needs were met. I was suprised at the appreciation day they had for us, i have never lived in apartments that did such a thing and i felt very pleased with the appreciation we were all shown!

                                                Apartment is good but management is terrible. I am looking for my lease termination date. I'll never renew my lease and i told my colegue, not to rent this apartment just because of rude managment. They'll talk to us politely untill you sign the lease. So beware of that.                                                   The apartment and amenities are nice other than it's no good. I had my car towed at a $300 fee when I had their sticker in my window!!! They claim it wasn't there at the time. My storage locker and vehicle were broken into. Management is rude and unorganized. They lost paper work on my deposit and tried to say we didn't pay it!!! They are in your apartment every other week checking fire detectors, installing energy efficient stuff...which great but I like my privacy and I don't want them in my place 2 times a month. Abe the maintenence guy is awesome!!! The only perk of this apartment community. Too bad he has to work with those losers.
