Poor Experience

We have had a very poor experience living here, and have decided not to renew our lease. Management is very disorganized and has lost our paperwork several times. We have been asked to come to the office and tell them our parking permit numbers a total of 4 times since moving in last August. When we moved in they refused to give us all of our utility keys claiming we had not turned in some paperwork (I went down there to talk to them directly and they magically found it in our file). They forgot to send in our paperwork to the electric company and then called us mad at us when they got billed instead of us. Any maintenance request we have sent in has taken at least 2-3 weeks no matter what it has been for (sometimes we have had to request the same thing several times before they have taken care of it). A few weeks ago they sent notice saying we had to inform them which storage locker our apartment was using or they would cut our lock and throw out all of our stuff, 3 of my 4 roommates called to tell them the number… See More>

    MANAGEMENT IS TERRIBLE

The apartments are nice, and living is excellent, but the office people are a joke. Very unprofessional, and rude, and disrespectful. Do not move in until new management!!

      Best in Little Canada

I just move in one year ago and have had minor issues and wanted to see what others thought before renewing. So far I have had nothing be good experiences with the manager and rest of the office staff. Maintenance seems to be ok with the exception of one repair taking more time to get it right the first time. I have had my car towed but I was notified ahead of time so I it was my fault. Buildings are clean and always smell nice. Lots of updates on the property including a business center which I use often. My only complaint right now is some of the rude residents here. I can never find a cart in the garages becasue there are alot of lazy unthoughtful residents that don't bring them back after using them.

        Stay away!! What a nightmare!

Where should I start??? Staff is a nightmare! Extremely unfriendly. They towed my car twice without notice and had to pay $300 each time to get it back. They enter your apartment without notice or warning. My robberies, both car and apartment. Thin walls = a lot of Noise! Unclean grounds.

          Good experience!

I lived here for two years. I moved in right after I graduated from college and feel it is a good "starter" place. The location is great for getting to different areas around the cities. I liked the layout of the apartment and never had any problems with management. I also enjoyed being so close to a Bally Total Fitness. The Little Canada Bally's is excellent. The one annoyance I noted at the apartment was that because my unit faced the parking lot, when I had my windows open I could hear noise frequently from the parking lot. This usually wasn't too annoying, mainly during the middle of the night on a Thursday when people would be partying outside or coming home from the bars and I had to be up in a few hours. Not a huge problem but if I could go back I would have got one of the outer apartments. I would definitely recommend living here!

I live at Ceders Lakeside and loved it!

When I first moved into a beautiful apartment at Cedars I loved the idea of the spas and exercise rooms in each building. It gives you a chance to meet your neighbors. Yes, recently we have gotten new management and because of that I believe things are looking better and the service is great! The hallways are smelling great and the community room has new furniture. I just renewed my lease and choose a accent wall painting my apartment looks great! manager very professional. I found the staff to be a helpfull, on the other hand maintenance could use another class in caulking! The previous manager did nothing to make the common areas look great. Over all a Great place to live.

              Great Place, Horrible Manager

The apartment was wonderful, very spacious. Perhaps slightly overpriced, but when there is a spa, pool, tanning and onsite management you will pay more. I lived there for over a year, and was sad to move because of the place. The manager is a completely different story. The current management staff was rude to us several times, once even hanging up when we called. The office was not always open during office hours. We reserved the party room and were told to pick up the key on a Saturday. No one was there the entire office hours time and just by chance someone came and heard our message on the answering machine. During our final check out we were forced to leave our cat in a carrier and some of our belongings in the hallway when they checked out the storage unit upstairs. I have many other stories as well. This manager started in early 2007, so I would not rent until the management changes. Otherwise be prepared to avoid management at all costs. The man in charge of maintainance is the one exception. Others commented on parking. This was not usually… See More>

                Okay...Parking is an issue though

My biggest complaint in living at Cedar's Lakeside is the parking. It was awful. Most of the time I had to park across the street in the winter and if you park in the wrong spot your car will get towed. If anyone is moving into Cedars here's a little tip: when they say move your car for plowing reasons move it! They are pretty strict on the whole towing thing. These apartments are pretty overpriced, although if you want a newer building it would be a good place if you're willing to pay a higher price. The hot tubs rarely worked at all. The office staff was fairly nice, but the manager was...stressed a lot? When we were moving out and were scheduled to have a walk thru with the nanager we waited for over an hour before she finally came. It was sooooo frustrating! The buildings are well kept and I give props to the caretakers who were there when I lived there. The buildngs were clean and we never had any issues with maintenance. Overall, decent place if you can afford it, but consider the parking… See More>

Nice place at a decent price

The Good: Nice amenities including a Pool, 2 hot tubs, game room (with pool table and air hockey), exercise room, Tanning booth, laundry on every floor and underground parking. Place is well maintained inside and out. The grounds are very nice, pretty much the entire complex is surrounded by trees providing privacy from the surrounding neighborhood. It's close to 694 and 35E (but not so close you can hear them) so it makes commutes easy. The Bad: Parking in the main parking lot can be sparse after 11pm, especially during the summer when people with underground parking don't utilize that space. If there are extra underground spaces they are $40 a month. There are two buildings, the 2800 building and the 2799 building and the amenities are split between the two buildings, most however are in the 2799 so if you happen to be in the 2800 be prepared to brave the cold in the winter because there are not connections between the two buildings.

Not for people who don't have a whole bunch of money

It looks nice and it's a very nice community. I just don't think that it's worth the price. I've lived here for over 5 months and have yet to use the pool, it's just in an inconvenient place compared to the area of my apartment. Also this "game room" is in the complete other building so I don't use that. And also it's expensive just to wash my laundry. I'd say this is a place for older people who make a decent wage to just come home to and hang out in their home. It's not for a couple young roommates that want to make a living.
