Resident 2019

7/1/2019

I currently live at this residence and have been since Aug 2018 (almost a year). The things I like about the apartment are that they are very reasonably priced, overall pretty clean, and very spacious. I live one the first floor so I have a patio out back that I love! The grounds are very well taken care of. I occasionally see staff picking up trash and vacuuming the hallways. MSU campus is right across the street so it's a quick walk. There's lots of Places to eat and a caribou within a mile of the apartment. Outback there is a pool. The only thing is that the pool is never actually clean. No matter how many times they come to clean and take care of it it always gets dirty very quickly due to the trees out back that inconveniently hang directly over it :(. There's a laundry room on the second floor but it is a bit pricey. I belive about 1.25-1.50 per wash and per dry which can add up very quickly. Each apartment has a storage unit location on the floor which is really really nice. Maintance was pretty efficient and helpful especially Tom! He's really cool and personable. The back of the apartments is very beautiful. There are tons of trees and a pond. Which leads me to the apartments biggest downfall... BUGS! I found more bugs in my apartment the first month of living here than I'd seen all year at my previous apartment. This might have something to do with the fact that I live on the first floor facing the back of the complex. I also like to have my patio doors open (with a screen) so that may account for it to. Overall, I wouldn't say that the amount of bugs isn't worth the price and location of these apartments. Lastly, parking- I live in the far building and there aren't many spots over this way so parking sucks. The parking passes are rarely enforced. During the school year I sometimes saw people park, get out and walk across campus to school. The garages are nice except they aren't assigned so it's a free for all + some of them are being used to store old cars, boats, and old furniture which was really annoying. Also, my lease doesn't end for another month but they locked the garages up about 2 months ago to get them cleaned out and prepared for next year's residents so parking is even worse now.
