Resident ā€¢ 2005 - 2009

6/17/2009

First I have lived here for 4 years. While I have had issues with previous management, I am extremely happy with the current office and staff. I LOVE the market, dry cleaners, wine bar, the gym, the party room, the guest suite and flower store IN the building. The convenience is fantastic. I also like that a/c and heat are included in the rent. I like the neighborhood as it seems to be semi-hidden from Washington Ave and into downtown. I love the units, the concrete pillars/exposed duct work, the finished concrete floors and the many different floorplans. I would suggest getting an apt in the taller side and to recognize that you'll be living downtown. If you like quiet, stay in Chaska or wherever you are coming from. Weekends can be loud with all of the outside foot traffic. I drive a mid-size SUV and have not had any issues with vandalism ever. Occasionally I get a passive aggressive note to "mind the lines" but whatever. The newest management quickly solved the issue of too many parking spots sold in the main garage. Also, parking in this hood is fantastic. Parking is free after 6 in the street and all day on the weekend. there is outside guest parking for daytime guests. Additionally, there is heated underground guest parking for $5/day. Name one other apt community DT that offers this. My only real con was the lack of options for cable (only directv through qwest) but I have grown to love it after bundling my cell, internet and cable together. Also, I don't really like my washer/dryer unit.
