Resident 2016 - 2018

2/9/2018

Hello! I have lived here over a year and am currently moving into a different unit with in the same building. I have lived in the Minneapolis area for seven years, and resided in Calhoun Beach Club, Joppa Lane Apartments, Oak Grove Towers, and now currently in Loring Apartments. It's safe to stay I feel at home here and plan on being here for the next five years. The other apartments were not bad, but lacked any retention properties, meaning, I felt like each location was temporary. Lots of apartments around here have great location but none of the others I looked at or have stayed at were nearly as flexible with me as Loring Apartments. One great positive is that I see the same faces in management and maintenance all the time. Thats a good sign, and I always saw new faces in my past living apartments, which made me feel disconnected from the management. Storage units. They have them. And I love that. I use one in the garage area, and one inside the building for different needs. There is underground parking too, with a wash port, and a big cage for bikes. I prefer to bring my bike inside, though. The building it self is newer, post 2000, and has nice updates such as HVAC systems for most apartments, wide stairwells, and a real exhaust fan in the bathroom. Tubs are wide, too. The Management has made life pretty easy for me, I never feel like I am a hassle, I can pretty much pop in anytime and get anything I need resolved. The office is usually open during normal business hours, so packages can get signed for. Katelyn, and Wynette, are friendly and approachable, and represent the building well. It's nice to have a human interface! Many times in the past I was left with doing everything via a portal, leaving room for poor communication or error. Management seems to be who keeps the tenants here, while the amenities seem to get folks in the door. So as time passes, the amenities become a little less important, and management is the element you count on a lot more, and thats why I am going to be at Loring Apartments for the next five years.
