My husband and I were dazzled on our original tour. The entrance is welcoming and beautiful, the units we looked at blew us away, and the one we ended up leasing checked off all of our boxes (south facing windows, a huge kitchen with a deep sink, electric range, lots of counter top space, the washer/dryer positioned in the hallway and not the bathroom [I hate laundry in the bathroom], lots and lots of natural light). We're only 4 days into our lease and love our particular unit a little more every day. We don't require much space for storage and lots of furniture, so our space still feels open and uncluttered, because all of our belongings fit well in the closets provided. We love the aesthetic with great views of downtown Minneapolis, exposed brick, concrete floors and pillars throughout the unit, high ceilings and huge windows. It's very quiet, even overlooking Washington Ave with just a slight volume of street noise filtering in. Our parking space is difficult to pull into (the stall width is probably standard, but the parking garage has many concrete columns present and that impedes turning radius and maneuverability) and if the neighbor doesn't park their car respectfully it makes it very difficult to maneuver our Prius in and out of the space; however, we've found that backing our car in is a successful way to easily navigate the tiny space. The only negative experience we've had so far is the actual move-in process. There are two garage door-style doors available to you upon move-in to make it efficient hauling furniture and large boxes from your truck to the elevators (the alternative is hauling everything across the parking garage, through two hinged and heavy doors, into the elevator area), but the second garage door-style door was closed when we arrived (apparently our reserved move-in time was 30 minutes after the staff leaves the office, which we found out after the fact) making our move in a lot more difficult. Last thing I'll mention is we've had trouble getting reliable Internet so far. Our service provider is the one recommended through the leasing office, but we're not getting the 200mbps we're paying for. More like 1.4 upload and 13.6 download, ranging up to 130 at some point. There is no way in the Copham to connect the router to the living room (where our tv and consoles are), so the option to directly plug something into the router for faster speeds isn't available. If you're looking for a really beautiful apartment in a great neighborhood, I do recommend The Copham. Make sure you move in when staff is available for a smooth experience, and do your research on internet providers if that's really important to you.
