The Camerata of Hoigaard Village
Resident • 2015 - 2016 Recommended
We looked at approximately 7-8 other apartment complexes before signing a lease with Hoigaard's. Since we were moving from a townhouse in another city, I was shocked at what the going rate for apartments had become. I was set on making sure we were getting the most for the money in terms of space, quality, amenities, etc. The Camerata was one of the first places we toured and I initially thought the rent was too much, so we kept searching. Well, as I stated, we ended up back at Hoigaard's. We have lived here for 7 months and so far, we don't have any complaints. The pros: *We have a corner unit, 2 BR/2 bath apartment which is larger than some of the homes in SLP. *Full size washer and dryer. *We moved into a clean and well-maintained apartment. *Super awesome huge kitchen with nice appliances (stainless steel-type, but not the kind that shows fingerprints). *Since we are a corner unit, we are removed from foot traffic noise, etc. and we really feel like we're in more of a townhouse setting. *The building is also well-maintained and code-compliant. *There is an awesome workout room open 24-hours with a sauna and outdoor pool/grill area, along with a large party room, movie theater room, and business center. *We've had to contact maintenance once for a minor repair and they had our issue resolved before I got home from work that same day. *Seldom do I hear our upstairs neighbors walking - otherwise there's no noise from neighbors (then again, we are kind of removed from the main area(s) ). *While guest parking can be challenging, they do provide an overflow lot so - unlike the other places we looked - there actually is a place they can park. *Super convenient location. I read a review elsewhere in which the reviewer commented it's not in the "cool" part of SLP. Literally laughed out loud. This is SLP, not Uptown - perfect if you want to be on the edge of it all, but not living in the mix, noise, etc. *The only extras to pay for are electric and cable/internet. The cons: *We had to wait 5 months to get our underground parking spot. In the meantime we had a covered stall. *I've read reviews on management and while the leasing agent I dealt with was great, I have had a couple of situations where I've called the office and it seemed like once the lease was signed, the pleasantries were done. I think it might be hit-or-miss with management, but I've only a handful of conversations to base that on. Hopefully if we decide to renew we won't be blind-sided. I will definitely update a review once that time comes.
