I have lived at Galtier Towers for approximately 6 months. Overall, the community is great. The price is what you would expect for such a great location. The downtown location makes it easy to get together with friends & coworkers. Jane, our concierge, is so kind and delivers my packages directly inside my apartment. I have a kitten (who I am sure attempts to escape every time she opens the door), so the pet policy works well for me (only $15 more per month per cat). John P. was fantastic to work with in the leasing office and did not pressure me into renting my apartment. Shauna, the property manager, is incredibly attentive. Living in a community of this size has drawbacks such as other resident's cooking smells in the hallway, but I have never had a problem inside my own apartment. The views are fantastic, no matter what direction your apartment faces. The laundry area certainly needs more attention as machines are often "out of order", which makes for a less-than-appealing busy laundry room. Most of the time, however, I do not have have to wait for a machine at any time of the day. My apartment air conditioner/heater aggressively and loudly turns on and off, which is a little strange, but I can look past that. I do wish, for $100 per month, that we either were assigned parking spots or that public parkers must only park on certain levels. After a long day of work, attempting to haul many groceries to my apartment, it is frustrating to have to look for parking in the expensive ramp due to random public vehicles taking spots close to the apartment elevator doors. Community is good, apartment and appliances are great (stainless steel), employees are wonderful, parking arrangements and laundry facilities could be better. Overall, great place to live!
