First apartment out of college - lived here with my girlfriend for 1 year. Really enjoyed it, for the most part. I'll highlight some highs and lows. Things we liked: > Staff was superb - doubt you'll find any apt. staff as friendly or accommodating. > Packages and dry cleaning delivered to my apartment > Maintenance was quick to repair things and friendly > Gorgeous views (this will depend on apartment obviously) > 24 hour security, felt safe living here > Nice new appliances/counter tops > Well insulated for heat/noise (rarely heard neighbors who had frequent parties) > The concierge - Maureen - is pretty much the greatest person ever. > A really nice set of restaurants/bars are popping up within walking distance (Black Sheep Pizza, Faces, Bull dog, Barrio, Heartland). Things we didn't like: > Painfully slow elevators > Needs bigger laundry facilities (had to wait a lot... gave up doing laundry on Sunday) > Outdoor patio/pool area... not as galmorous as pictures made it seem. Pool was under maintenance a lot, and often so cold it was almost unusable. > Parking - no 'assigned' spot so it was a pain. It's a price you pay for living downtown though. > Rubbish Chute area made the hallway smell rank sometimes. > Tough to get a good airflow going in the house during summer, because of how the windows opened Hopefully that doesn't deter anyone too much. Every building/complex is going to have its quirks and most of these were pretty minor issues. You can ignore that mold comment too - if there ever was a mold problem (which I doubt) they have corrected it. Other notes: We really liked living here and are definitely going to miss it. I think we would have lived here again if a 2 BR would have been available. If the high rise style of living is for you, it's definitely worth checking out
