Resident 2022 - 2023

Not the best choice. Look elsewhere.

Worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. Please go elsewhere. Trust me. The management sucks. My car got broken into and vandalized 4 x's in the garage. I had to buy manual locks for it. Management refuses to add cameras for your safety. They rent the garage to external non residents and you will have a hard time finding parking.. that YOU pay over $100 for monthly. Their will be people just making up parking spaces. So cars will be in the way when you're trying to pull out or in to the garage. The grounds are always dirty. Always. God forbid someone takes a hose and hoses down all of the bird ----. The building cleaning lady pretends she's cleaning. She's too busy talking on the phone on her iPods. I've had to wipe down the machines in the gym myself. It'll be a few days before she empties out the garbage baskets overflowing and replenishes the sanitary wipe bins. People have spilled things in the garage. I monitored a spill right by the building entry door. It took at least 2 weeks for her to clean it up. A dog threw up by a side door, weeks before that was cleaned up also. The gym is not all that great. The machines are very old style. They look great in pictures on the website until you start using them. It's like working out with hand me down, lightly used machines from the 90s. If the long time neighbors are racist or simply don't like that you breathe? Brace yourself. They will contact the leasing office with lies about you. No proof and the manager won't do their due diligence in their investigations. Someone called about my dog barking. I had a doggie cam on my dog. Monitored her all of the time. She was never barking. Ever. Management sent me an email about it with advice on getting my dog a bark collar. I had to send back videos of my dog when I wasn't home. No barking whatsoever. If you're allergic to weed, some are, I'm not and I love the smell, so it's not an issue for me. But if you do, the 4th floor reeks of it at night. The building does not use a fob system. They use regular keys in old key holes. The area is not nice in the late evenings post COVID. So if you are a single woman, have something on you for protection and be careful when coming in to the building. The keys get jammed up. So it might take you a minute to get the doors open. Be vigilant if anyone follows you in. Homeless addicts will somehow gain entry into the building and hang out in the stairwells. Again, if you are single lady be vigilant. Don't bother on letting management know. They don't care about you. They'll tell you that they have security on site. There are only two security agents that do their job. The rest just walk around looking at TiKTok on their phones. I have witnessed it and I have a hallway door camera. I catch them all of the time. DO NOT MOVE IN! You'll be treated like you're an annoyance and you are paying rent to live in a place you can feel at home and comfortable at. This is NOT it.

Mears Park Place
Dear Miriam - Thank you for sharing your experience and providing us with feedback. We are truly sorry that you have not enjoyed living in downtown St. Paul at Mears Park Place. Unfortunately, crime has increased everywhere, and in response, we hired a new security team in the hopes of mitigating these issues. If you ever have an issue arise and need their help, you can call them 24/7 at (651) 292-1313 ext. 3. Secondly, I will be bringing your cleaning concerns to the cleaning supervisor so we can make sure things are taken care of in a timely manner from now on. Finally, regarding your dog, I want to clarify that I would send an email like that to any resident when a neighbor complains about barking. I appreciated you following up and making sure we knew it wasn't your pup. I apologize if we never responded, but I want to make it clear that we believe you. She is the sweetest puppy, and we always enjoy seeing her around the property. If you would like to discuss any of these concerns in person, my door is always open, or you can give me a call at (651) 292-1313 ext. 0. -Michelle, Property Manager
