Riva Ridge Apartments

Originally from Mpls, I was kind of afraid of what kind of apartments I would have to live in, in Shakopee because it is so far out from the city. This place is GREAT. It is very cosmopolitan, with people from all over the globe that live here and share their cultures. The residents are friendly and welcoming, there is always someone out either walking their dogs or playing with them in the Huge courtyard(don't worry everyone is very responsible about picking up after their pets), or hanging out in the community room taking advantage of the free WIFI, which is open around the clock. No time limits on when to do your college homework. Also in the back yard is a pool, basketball court as well as grills, everything you need for a backyard get together. Other wonderful things about living here are the heated underground parking which has a free car wash bay, and free basic cable. The one thing I don't miss about Mpls is all the noise, and crime. This is a secure building with cameras where you can see who you are buzzing in on your tv. Also the residents are very careful and only let in people that they know live here, anyone else has to buzz the person they are coming to see. It is like living in a neighborhood where you actually get to know your neighbors and look out for each other if you want. Staff is always friendly, the caretaker does an amazing job of keeping the building clean, rarely do I ever see hand prints on the doors, all the common rooms are always clean and welcoming. Maintenance is fairly quick to do repairs. The Property Manager is always friendly and says Hi when you enter or exit the building, smiling and you to have a nice day. Her office is always open if you need to ask questions or put in a maintenance request. We had a Tornado Warning so all of us were in the parking lot waiting it out. She brought down chairs for the elderly, brought down water and cups for everyone to have a drink and had radios going so we could keep up with the storm. I am so happy that I live in such a beautiful, respectful, and happy community. Thanks Riva Ridge
