Resident 2017 - 2022

WORST PLACE EVER!!!

This is LITERALLY THE WORST PLACE EVER!!!! DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!!! This place is extremely racist. I dealt with neighbors going thru my trash. When reported we were told sometimes that happens. I dealt with neighbors coming OUTSIDE to tell my children to be quiet while playing OUTSIDE (who does that!?). I dealt with rude and disrespectful maintenance (if you can even call them that, more like crack head Highleah workers) came for an inspection every 2-3 weeks but NEVER inspected my neighbors. I dealt with constant harassment from management who is a complete joke and disrespectful as well. Nothing but problems after Gina left!! The basement constantly flooded and when we reported it were told it was our fault because we “abused the garbage disposal” so they removed the disposal! Then we were told we had to rearrange our basement because it was “too cluttered” in which WE DID! However, because we did not move the washer and dryer they evicted us due to “non-compliance”! Now months later we are still being charged rent and other misc charges so that we won’t be able to get our deposit back. After several correspondence via email and hard copy saying… See More>

Rude and looks like a bit of favoritism goes on there. They have some ridiculous rules and regulations. Not the type of environment I want to have to deal with on a daily basis. People don't need to be watched but they do and then get reported w/a a written warning taking the other person's word for what they say. Not how things work, but if you do enjoy that type of thing then I guess this is your home.

Nice comfortable quality brick townhomes. Very affordable. All maintanence provided well-maintained. Staff is good to work with. Good schools and right next door to 6th grade center and middle school.

I lived here for 20+ years. It was awful. It was great at first until I was grown up enough to realize what a joke it was. The one thing you used to do is get paid directly from the person moving in and transfer the unit to them. They play it like you can't do it but that's not true. They told me I couldn't and I talked with linville and found out they were lying. The office staff has their entire families living in the complex and i from what has been told by them, they don't pay rent. They are units still listed as "repos". If you are smart run, this neighborhood is its own communist country!!!!

Don't be fooled it's a scam. I moved here in October 2013 and moved out May 2014. This used to be a wonderful place to live when ----- was the manager. My aunt lived there for 7 years with no issues. Now that ---- and ----- are running things it's a joke. I lived on Stafford Ln and most of my neighbors were -----'s ----------- relatives. When I became disillusioned I placed my townhouse on the market and even placed an ad on craigslist referring people to the office to get qualified and schedule viewings. After three months without any potential buyers I asked my aunt to call the office and enquire about my unit to find out what they were telling people. My aunt called me back flabbergasted. ---- was telling anyone that called about my unit that I had changed my mind and it was not for sale! Apparently ----- -------, the maintenance man's son was also moving and they were sending every potential buyer to him only! I confronted the office about this and they back peddled. I still was not able to get a buyer until -----'s son's unit was sold and I had moved out… See More>

I moved here in haste; had I done some research I would have found out that the entire complex is a joke. The upfront pay is steep considering you will likely not get any of that money back when you move. As someone else pointed out, they will insist that you pay for new paint throughout the home (closets and ceilings included) and it must be completed by their painter to be accepted (close to $3000.00). Be advised before you purchase that this is not a deposit and you will not get that money back. I can't speak for the other streets, but Devonshire was the worst place I have ever lived. I'd like to think that because the police were there nearly every night to calm the domestic disputes that the place was at least partially safe, but after the gunshots rang out one night I abandoned all illusion of being safe. Wannabe teenager gangsters roamed the streets and stole anything they could, from doormats to flower pots, and vandalized vehicles; loud parties into early morning hours were a common occurrence; the on-site security was a joke as they rarely answered calls and had no real authority; avoiding messes from… See More>

              Resident 2009 - 2013

              6/9/2013

There are some schemes in life that are just plain evil. This place is a scam! Beware!!!! They take a large down payment, and in exchange you get a low monthly rent rate. But the "BS" is when you move out. They will tell you the entire place needs a "fresh coat" of paint. Guess what that means.........their painter comes in and says its going to cost you $3,500.00 to re-paint your unit. Well, there goes half your down payment. Then they come in and nickel and dime you to death. The floors have to be re-finished, and all. There goes another $3,500.00. So now your total cost of moving out is magically what you put as a down payment. Then the new suckers that move in pay their $7,000.00 and they lose it too. They make $14,000.00 in short order. No one gets their cow payment back, unless you work there. They are scam artists!!!!! RUN, and hide your money! Stick with apartments or home rentals. The maintenance people are inept and lack skills or knowledge of mechanics of maintenance. RUN, RUN, RUN.

A: There are at least 6 or 8 guests spots near us. We use one every day and an additional one or two several times a week and never have any problem finding a spot.
