Apartments themselves refurnished, acceptable condition. Constant water outages, zero-notice apartment entries, and on-site (loud) construction were continuous, though. Have not recieved a single return phone call from their office after leaving a message, and no one ever answers the phone at the Northpark Apartments location in Joplin, MO (417-626-0400). I have left several messages, but no return phone call, during business hours or not. (M-F, 9am-5pm, and 9-noon on Saturdays). Not only did I loose the deposit when we followed procedure and gave our 30 day notice to vacate and terminate the lease early (A job transfer occured that required a move to Texas- we had already rented the apartment for the year before, and rent was always paid on-time)... we also are apparently being charged a reletting fee (which claims is 85% of the rent, but is actually the full price of the rent) AND are being charged rent for the remaining months (June, July, October) at $1,175, PLUS cleaning fees, PLUS carpet shampooing fees (Reasonable- $100 I can see, but shouldn't that come out of the deposit??) The only time I can get ahold of anyone is when I am physically in the office in-person, and they claim that they don't know anything- it's all sent off to the "accountant" in another city/state/planet. DO NOT RENT from this building or Wilhoit Managed Properties (Northpark Apartments across the street took over management of the complexes during our first year of leasing.)
