I have only lived here for a few months but I really like it. While it is true that one can hear the parking lot activities and the occasional hallway conversation, I have not run into any yelling or screaming- certainly nothing that is frightening or wakes my 2 1/2 year old. The pool is a fun place to go with my son, and we like to feed the swans-who just hatched 4 cynglets. There is a walking path and a small jungle-gym type thing on the hill. It is definitely great for a single parent on a tight budget. I used to live downtown and we have so much more space, peace and quiet, and I feel safer. The fireplace is a cozy addition and the built-in bookcase is very nice. There is a ton of closet space- my son even has one with shelves built in that I have been able to teach him to put his toys away (for the most part). We each have our own bathroom- which keeps him out of Mommy's stuff. My apartment has a lot of light and I see trees and the swans when we sit on the balcony. The only thing I would say is kind of a bummer is if you need to get downtown with all the bridgework, you beeter expect delays in the morning. And my cell phone doesn't work all that well here.
