Sun Valley Lake Apartments

I will start off by saying that I have stayed in several apartments before, and Sun Valley has been the worst by far. The office staff is notorious for lying, as I have heard from several other tenants, and the head manager conducts business in a very shady and unprofessional manner. The property looks nice from the outside, but the inside of the apartments is equivalent to what you might expect to see in the ghettos of east St. Louis. When we moved in we were told to record every last thing that was wrong. Well the first thing I saw when walking in was a hole larger then my fist. The repairs that they decided to make (which wasn't even half of the reported damage) were done in a very poorly done manner, with the maintenance staff leaving a mess of dust and debris as they fixed things by adding screws and poorly adding a layer of paint. The appliances are all old and out dated; the microwave works differently each time and the oven barely works at all. The staff does very little to help, but pretends to be nice and caring but are clearly trying to cover up for their lack of knowledge and abilities to get anything taken care of. This place is a HORRIBLE place to live and I would not recommend it to anybody even as a desperation move. In the end they will try and charge you with fees for everything, including trying to charge 300 dollars for the door of a microwave that you could get on ebay for no more then 45 dollars. all and all my time spent here has been nothing but misery. Oh, but if you do like getting woken up at 8 each morning because of leaf blowers outside your apartment for 45 minute stretches this may be the place for you.
