Mansion House Apartments

Don't rent the "500 sq. ft" studio unless you've just gotten out of prison and are use to small spaces. That's what it feels like living on 4th Street. It's a constant battle fighting the bums or the traffic. It comes to a point to where you just do not want to leave your apartment. If you want a car while living at Mansion House, you have to pay $90/month to park in the dark, shady garage below. The leasing agent may fail to tell you that until after you sign the lease. I would advise against walking around downtown after 6pm alone. When I did, I was often hassled by bums with outrageous stories to score a buck or two. You never know what's going to happen. In 2006 there were two shootings within a couple of blocks a few weeks apart. Everything shuts down after 5pm Monday-Friday unless the Cards are in town. I was very excited before moving downtown, but after a few months reality set in. The mayor needs to focus on getting the bums out and cleaning up trash in the streets. More people would move downtown if these problems were address. I staff was the utmost professional staff you could ask for. Everything was done orderly in a business fashion.
