The Parc @ Ridgeland!!
When I first moved into the Parc @ Ridgeland in April 2004 things were great. But once the summer arrived things got pretty hot, literally!! My roomate and I spent the entire summer trying to get our air conditioner fixed. Maintenance would come out and do a "touch-up", that only lasted a couple of days and then we were back in mysery. Each time we called the office to complain the Manager had a new excuse, we havent received the part for your air conditioner, we had to fire maintenance, I didn't get the message, etc. Our next problem was with the hot water; to make a long story short, we needed a new hot water tank but did not receive one. Then, there was the problem with the breaker box, for some odd reason our box continously "kicked out". After conversing with one of the new maintenance men (who had worked their before)I found out that the family before us had the exact same problems and had requested a new breaker box on several different occasions. (Imagine your power going out at 11:30pm, and your home alone) only having to wait until 1:00am for maintenance(who lives across the street)to show up. Then there was this thing with parking! Our neighbors were college students(fraternity guys) that had a party at least 3-5 nights a week, and their guest took all of the parking spaces. They even utilized the "Fire Zones". I spoke with the manager but she never resolved the problem, I even saw her going into the party one night! After locking my keys in my car one night, I called maintenace and asked if they could at least let me into my apartment. He told me there was a $40 charge to let me in!RIDICULOUS! So I sat on the steps and thought about it. Thank God for 1411 I called a locksmith who came out and opened my car door for only $20 bucks.I felt that unlocking the door was the least they could have done. Did I mention that the people above us hot water tank was leaking down into our apartment and it took maintenance forever to fix! And then I had to literally beg Tony to have someone to come clean our carpet. It took her 2 months by the time they "showed-up", I had "showed-out" and was moving out! Oh, the people above me had a grown "Pit-Bull" that used the front lawn as a litter box!Share This Review
