Hawthorne at the Peak is in a fantastic location, right on the line between Asheville and Weaverville, with quick access to I-26. As a pair of UNCA students, we are at a nice distance from school. The close proximity to the Ingles and CVS is very nice. The view of the mountains is gorgeous and the community is very lush and green. The amenities (pool, work out facility, club house, outdoor spaces, dog park) are all really wonderful. The staff has been super friendly and responsive to all of our needs, and work orders are fulfilled quickly and professionally. They are taking Covid-19 precautions very seriously so the staff are always wearing masks, including when work orders. The apartment itself is wonderful, with updated appliances, light fixtures, and laminate flooring in the living room and kitchen. My only complaint is that the bedrooms don't have overhead lights so it can be a bit dim, but we've brought in a number of lamps to resolve this. The apartment is impressively sound-proofed, so we rarely hear our neighbors and any outdoor noise (cars, AC, lawn equipment) is significantly muffled. Overall it's a wonderful community, and better than we could have hoped for.
