If you read one review of this apartment complex, read this one. Do not be fooled by the seemingly low prices as opposed to the rest of Asheville. It's 'cheap' for a reason. We signed a lease in July of 2018, which is ending accordingly. The agreed monthly rent was $890 for a two bed 1.5 bath. You know how they always say when you sign anything that rates are subject to change without notice or consent? I thought it was a hypothetical "hey if we happen to go through like a drought and need you to pay a little extra for your water bill" but no. I'm paying 1075 and have been since probably the third month of living here. That's fine. Still less than most of Asheville. Moving on. After about two months, we noticed that the a.c. stopped working. The fan worked so we heard the sound and was thus deceived, as well as the fact that we are in a basement level so it kept cool enough. Then we started noticing mold. Called the office. Made a maintenance request. It took them an additional month, along with learning that I am asthmatic and the mold was causing me serious symptoms for them to come and 'fix' it (it took them like 3 tries to actually figure out the issue). Come winter, when using the heat, sometimes the heater would run until the apartment was over 80 degrees, and wouldn't cut off. So it took them about 3 tries to figure out what THAT issue was. I have had packages snagged here, one of the two pools are continuously closed, the 'dog park' is really just a sad patch of grass that's gated. Oh and refer to the picture of the ridiculous list of things that they charge for upon move out. Seriously, the meadows hasn't been home but just a cultivation of disappointment and discontent.
