The price and the customer service here do not match. The staff are friendly but will not do anything at all more than they are required to by corporate. They are not willing to actually solve problems in the community.
Parking is a nightmare - I've had to park 4-5 buildings away from mine before... and when I'm carrying groceries home that makes me pretty pissed. Imagine a woman walking home that distance late at night. The neighborhood has had multiple car break-ins, so in spite of the nice area, safety is a concern.
The staff's solution to parking is to tell me to spend even more money on a garage. Excuse me! My rent should cover a damn parking space!
No one, I mean no one, picks up after their dogs. I've stepped in it over and over again... coming home, on the way to work... the grounds are a minefield of poo. In the summers, the whole area smells like dog crap.
The noise isn't awful if you have good neighbors, but the apartments are not built to help with noise. I can hear my neighbor's (above me) phone vibrating on the table when it rings, that's how poorly insulated the apartments are.
I've had other issues with neighbors or maintenance that the management staff refused to be helpful with. They quote policies or just ignore your emails. It's just not worth my energy to fight for it... so I'm leaving.
If you get in an apartment at a low rate due to the market, they are going to rake you over the coals when it is time to renew. You'll pay hundreds of dollars more if you want to stay.
