I have to say, I moved to Rivermere 3400 Dunn Commons Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28216 (is the correct address) back in 12/2009 and I loved it up until that current manager was transferred to a different property in 3/2011. We used to have beautiful landscapes, awesome maintenance with no problems, great neighbors, it was a place you could call home while looking for a permanent home in charlotte/surrounding areas, and yet be pride to live in a higher class of people over looking the amenities of the lake (Mt. Island, white water rafting, the nearby medical/shps, North Lake mall, convenience of 485, and easy access to both 77-85, as well as being close to Denver, NC, Huntersville, Davidson/Lake Norman, even Gastonia, lake Wylie and Rockhill, SC. I loved it for my first Year or two being here. Now when 2012 hit, ---- literally hit the fan, I had my wheels stolen off my car, someone else had there's stolen, and management refuse to put in Security cameras and want to always try and bother our curtsey officer, who has a life too, and was the one who reported to me at 7am that my wheels were gone, off my vehicle. However, they need to do more for the security of the property and assure tenants they will in fact be safe. The problem is the new Management doesn't seem to care, and wants to bring anyone (and I do mean anyone) into this property, it's literally becoming a nice new ------ or hood of NW Charlotte, which gives Truth I guess about West Charlotte as soon as you think of Sugar creek Rd., Beaties Ford, and Nations Ford Rd. in Charlotte. Honestly we all literally fight over the over crowded parking lots, we are annoyed with all the kids literally making noise after hours, even grown adults late nights hanging out, causing chaos with the police most times being called or ambulance, we had problems with our furniture trash bin running over for months, even access into our apartments sometimes without notice (yet we could tell things were moved around when they did blind replacement). I'm just not appeased, safe, or feel the High rent of staying here which is now 745-850 (Rent used to be 669 and increased by 15.00 your year contract renewal, now mine is jumping to 740 from 699)justified for the ------ it is truly turning into... Like I said this used to be a great community, however if you really want to see what this property is like come through in the evenings from 7:30pm-12am and you'll see what I mean, talk to the current residents (some of the older who are still here) and see what they tell you about the community. We are all Straight forward and will tell you the truth, we love the area, however the Mere community is dead to us as the demographics and economics have fallen bellow the high-standards praised by the website/management. I would Suggest you look in other S.L. N Properties, check out Austin-woods by north lake mall, or Buy a house, because if your rent is going to be over 650 you might as well purchase a house now with low interest rates, think about it! So how can I compare the ------ to Rivermere, well if you ever looked up Stanford Reserves/Grand Terraces in east Charlotte, behind Eastland mall ( I moved from there to Rivermere from 5/15/2008/-11/30/2009); Look up the reviews and view the area, Unless you are going near 485 and beyond to Locust, NC ( or at least just after Target on Albermarle road, you will know ------. I'd rather Live in the Hood then live in the ------, and yes there is a Difference. Sincerely a Tenant who is getting the hell out of here.
