I lived in a unit which was extremely expensive. After moving in, the price dropped dramatically. (I overpaid more than $100 a month, compared to other people!) So, the complex changed dramatically.
It is no more a grad students and professionals town. Buildings are old and walls are so thin. Under my unit, a heavy smoker lived. I could smell it everyday.
The floorplan and the pool area are good. But I still don't understand how more than 10 family members can live in this complex. In summer, you'll see some students are sunbathening in the pool area, but that family will force them out soon. Teenagers of that family are too noisy. But their parents and grandparents never mind it. I couldn't have a bit of peace in the pool area any longer.
Stay far away from University Dr. apartments which are no more safe. (Most of them recently suffered from car break-ins.)

Now lots of better apartments at good prices are everywhere. Or pay a little bit more and find way much better apartment.
