I just moved to the apartments. I will write a review now because I was very pleased with their service. I will leave a review when I move out to write about the whole experience. I have been looking at apartments for a while now and I have seen nearly all the apartment complexes in this area (south durham). Most of them had leasing staff that were uninterested at what they were doing and their indifference discouraged you from the moment you set foot in their offices. They acted as if they were too full to care for attracting additional renters even though most of them had several vacant apartments. Moreover many of the apartments did not have a 6 month lease and those that did raised the lease by more than 100 dollars which was really unfair. But when I came to Lodge at Southpoint I was really surprised. Kailea addressed all my concerns regarding bugs, cleanliness of the apartment, lighting, etc . She showed me the apartment on two different occasions to help me decide if it was suitable. As I have recently entered the states I was unfamiliar with electricity and insurance arrangements and she patiently explained everything to me. I wanted to look at rentals in other areas (downtown and north durham) before deciding to sign the lease but as they had only one vacant 1-bedroom apartment left I was afraid that someone else might show interest in the same unit while I was searching. So I went there the next day to see what I could do, and again Kailea was very helpful. She said after filling the application and paying the administrative fee, application fee and safety deposit, I will have 48 hours to cancel the application and will only lose the application fee. This really helped me. She also reduced the administrative fee to half by putting me in their preferred employers list. I wouldn't have known about the possibility of such a discount if it wasn't for her honest services. I was so pleased with the apartment and their service that when I filled the application and came out of the office I knew I wouldn't need to search more. And I believe if the company is smart enough to put someone like Kailea in charge of leasing, they will continue to amaze me with their apartment and service.
