Don't be fooled by new management
Also don't be fooled by the ads you see. The "woods" in question are the Guilford College Woods, and they've infact cut down a lot of the greenery they actually had. I'm a college student, and even I was appalled by a lot of the apartment's characteristics. When I first moved in, half of the wall plugs didn't work. HALF. Several lights were burnt out, and was generally not what I would expect when the management assured me it would be checked and ready. The only "improvements" the new management has done are to the outside, and actually get in the way more than they help. For weeks on the building of this ugly walled structure in front of my apartment, there was no sidewalk or anything created--only a giant MOAT which I had to cross everyday. They do just enough work to make things inconvenient and ugly, then move on to another apartment and never complete it. Meanwhile, pipes for the complex burst three times in one month. Management is only interested in making the outside look...well, not even good. I was lucky enough to live in a building mostly occupied by old ladies, but even then we had security problems. My roommate's car was stolen, and a man will occasionally, casually stroll around the parking lot checking all the car doors--even when you're obviously right there watching him! Security was called, but doubt that anything was actually done.Share This Review
