Resident 2007 - 2008

BOoo Go elsewhere

Lets start with basic construction of this property. Don't be fooled by the aesthetics of clubhouse and pool. 1) Construction: They must have been in a hurry to complete these buildings. There are many NON-90degree angles is these apartments. Walls/ceilings are rice paper thin. Maintenance: I'll give them 2 stars. We repeatedly had to call on major issues that almost temporarily moved us out of our apt. Landscaping sucks. Although they cut the grass probably once or twice a month. Safety--EEHh let's just say check the local police report. I think the police were out side our building 6-8 times in a 12month period. Either Domestic or other NON-normal issues. Man, It was like an EPISODE of COPS!!! Don't need a TV!

    pretty great

I read all the reviews which are over a year old. The apartment complex isn't that bad. The staff is excellent and has always been friendly to me, the only maintenance issues I have had were fixed the very next day and noise issues haven't been a problem. I talked with alot of my neighbors that have been here a while and they said it has gotten alot better within the last year, I think management had changed or they brought in somebody new when things were looking bad. At my building we don't have any parking issues but I know a few buildings that are close together have some but you get that anywhere. I am just glad we don't have permits or tags or assigned spaces, I'd rather deal with this any day.

      Getting worse...

Hunterstone is your run of the mill, basic, cheaply built apartment complex. The buildings are new, which makes things a little nicer, but the quality leaves something to be desired. I would highly recommend the third floor if you can stand the daily climb of stairs. If you find yourself on the first or second floor, your peace and quiet relies entirely on the person that lives above you. The exterior again is adequate, but not eyepopping. The trees around the complex are constantly filled with trash and other debris. The landscaping is rather vanilla, and could be much more improved. Probably due to initial residents moving into their new homes in surrounding neighborhoods, the quality residents are leaving, making way for less desirable renters. I am very weary of what is to come in the years ahead...

        Pretty good for the price

I have rented from Hunterstone for 2 years and overall I would recommend the complex. There are a few issues which I will explain below, but compared to the other experiences I have had over the years it s a pretty nice place to live for the price range. First I will start with the good things about Hunterstone - It is a fairly new complex so all of the amenities, appliances, etc. are in good condition. I have a 2 bedroom/2 bath and the apartments are a good size for the price and I liked the layout. Both of the bathrooms are big and there is a ton of closet and storage space. There is also a nice patio with a storage closet. The few times I have had maintenance issues they were fixed the same day I called and the maintenance crew is really nice. The office staff has always been friendly and they have a lot of community BBQs and activities which is nice. Now for the bad My biggest complaint overall is that the noise in the apartments are horrible. I was here while they were finishing the last few buildings… See More>

          Best Decision I made!!

I searched all over Wilmington to find an apartment adequate with mine in raleigh. After several weekends of searching I almost gave up. Wilmington was either strictly college/old or way over priced. Hunterstone Staff were so inviting and i was so happy when i saw the awesome 2br/2bath floor plan ...I signed immediately. The location in amazing, close to everything but yet far enough away. This was exactly what a young professional like myself needed. Thanks Hunterstone Staff for making this such a great place to live!

The Hunterstone isn't all that bad. The apartments are clean and relatively new, however, they're are quite small. There are a lot of kids who roam the property, which is fine, especially if you have children. Nevertheless, they tend to be loud and cause quite a bit of damage whether it is a football hitting a car or using the workout room as a jungle gym. The complex also seems to be filled with people who enjoying speeding around on their motorcycles, which isn't good with all of the kids around. The staff is friendly, but nothing gets done, so if you have a problem do not expect a resolution. The workout facility is a dump with equipment that is always broken. I would look somewhere else, but if you absolutely need a place in Leland you're probably going to be stuck with the Hunterstone.

              Great place to live!

We have been here for 6 months now and couldn't be happier. It is safe, quiet and the apartments are a good size with alot of closet space. Our 2 year old loves the playground and the staff is just short of amazing! We have excellent neighbors and love the area. This is what apartment living should be!

                Love it

I was nervous when I moved here after only seeing it on the internet, but it proved to be a good decision. My 2 bedroom has plenty of room. I especially love the large bathrooms and closets. Staff here is very helpful. I definitely recommend it!
