Resident ā€¢ 2004 - 2005

8/20/2005

Where should I start? The lighting in parking lot was out for a month before they actually fixed it, and we had reported it to them. This is probably why there was so many car break-ins. And by the way, parking was horrible. You had to come home at like noon just to be able to park in front of your building. Also, they decided to reseal the parking lot.. they gave us NO notice. I figured it out when I walked out and found a sign that said detour sticking in the front yard. When I tried to follow the detour, I couldn't get by because the guys working on the parking lot were blocking the road. When I called to ask where I was supposed to park,no one answered. They then proceeded to hang a map on my door at like 5pm, five hours after I called, and they called to see if I had not received to map. Thanks for the lack of notice!!

Maintenance over all was terrible. When maintenance actually decided to try and fix something, it took them at least two weeks to get there. And the thing is they never really fixed anything, they usually made it worse. There was water coming from the apartment above that eventually made a hole in the ceiling--their solution for fixing it was to tape it up and paint over it. there was water damage in the hallway from where water was leaking from the tub... they did not fix it. Our dishwasher did not work, so they replaced it with another old dishwasher, and in the process broke one of our glasses, which they did not mention in their service report. The only way we knew is when we found a piece of glass on the floor, and we discovered that we were missing a cup.

The bugs are horrible, but the office and maintenance say that it was normal... I don't think so!! All of the doors stuck... one in the second bathroom would not even close all the way.

The apartment smelled of smoke from the previous owners, but instead of new carpet, we opted for a cheaper rent... big mistake. They now want to charge us for some bogus smell, when the apartment looks and smells ten times better than it did when we moved in.

Management = bad. When ever you had a problem, management would smile and say "we'll get it taken care of" or "let us know if you have any other problems". Please, they cared just about as much as maintenance did. We had to report one problem four times before we actually got it taken care of, and then it still wasn't fixed. And don't fall for any of their marketing tactics, its not worth it. If you're looking to rent from this place, don't waste your time or money. Sure the apartments are big and spacious, but its not worth the time you'll spend on rent or the time you waste trying to get things fixed.
