Blackwolf Run Townhomes at Hedingham Golf Club
Resident · 2012 - 2013
After reading other reviews I see that I am not the only person with the same complaint. The front office staff is terrible!! The first time I went to Hedingham they appeared to be so kind. However, I was seriously mistaken. To be honest, I loved living in Hedingham. My townhome was wonderful; I lived in a cul-de-sac and my unit backed to the Neuse River trail. I would not recommend getting a place along the main road, especially if you have small children. People speed through the community. Mine was just nice because we lived in the cul-de-sac. I lived in my townhome with my significant other of 5 years. I am a teacher and he is a med student; we are extremely quiet, have paid every single bill on time, and have caused no problems for Hedingham. Not to sound arrogant, but we are the type of tenants I imagine a landlord would love to have! Because I am a teacher and my boyfriend is in school, we decided that it would be better financially if we got a roommate. Our unit can fit three cars and we have 2 bedrooms so we did not see the problem. One of my teacher friends and I went to the front office in early June to renew the lease. We told the man at the front that I wanted to add her to the lease. He immediately began to chastise us for this. He was extremely rude and abrupt, and would not even take a minute to discuss the situation. When asked when his superior would be in, he told me he could not tell us and was not at all willing to assist us. I left the conversation feeling completely belittled. In my honest opinion, it felt as if he saw two young women and thought that he could speak to us in any way that he pleased, no matter how rudely. My problem is not about them not allowing us to have 3 people on the lease. I think it's stupid, but if that's their rule then I can accept that. Actually most people in Blackwolf have more than 2 non-married adults living in a house; I imagine they just don't tell Hedingham. Shame on us for attempting to be honest! My problem is the chauvinistic man working in the front office. To make matters worse, I kindly emailed Tricia Green (the head of leasing) to tell her about my encounter, and she never responded! I have never seen such terrible customer service. I had planned to recommend some of my fellow teachers to this community, however now I would never recommend it to anyone. It's Hedingham's loss. They are kicking out good tenants.
