I moved into Boylan Apartments about 6 months ago after living in different downtown apartments and houses for the past few years. Yes, I agree - the apartments are beautiful and well kept. The grounds are about as nice as you're going to get in the area, especially for the price range. The apartments are about 80 years old, so you have the charm and character of an old apartment (hardwood floors, nice moldings, thick walls, ceramic tubs, large windows and a fire escape) but they were pretty recently renovated. Nice rent, as well. That being said - the worst management company I've ever dealt with. About as incompetent as they come. For the past several weeks there has been a homeless man sleeping in the interior hallway, directly outside of my front door. I've called my management company several times about fixing the front door and/or changing the door code (which all of Raleigh probably knows at this point). Half of the time the management company pretends to have lost my work order request and half of the time they are just apathetic. This attitude is repeated other times, like when my the plumbing in my bathroom is backed up. It took two weeks for them to fix - I didn't have a shower for two weeks because my work order was conveniently lost. Everyone complains about Cameron Court but I lived there for two years and it was way better than Boylan.
