Resident 2011 - 2012

9/21/2012

Understaffed, but very nice and helpful -- essentially one young girl runs the place and handles everything -- she is often overwhelmed. Cant imagine how bad this would be without her, or why she bothers working here. Maintenance is timely, but has to come back atleast more than once to fix the problem they just patched up like it was nothing...only one or two guys, one of them cant seem to hear or speak and does poor work. Location good for price Roofs fall in everytime it rains hard -- lots of structural damage has been done. High teneant turnover rate -- walls are paper thin and the units are made up of 4 apartments per quadrant -- if you move anything big or try to fix something, it the shakes the whole foundation of the 4 units so everyone complains about the noise. Long-term tenants that have been here for a few years are smug and discorteous, extremely unpleasant -- I got two noise violatoions - 3 and youre contract is terminated -- on the day I moved in. ONE DURING THE DAY AND THEN ONE LATER THAT NIGHT unpacking by same person. ' Everyone complains like children, so you cant even watch tv later than 11. Its run like a ---- instiution, except everyone is either in their 30's and just moved from ou of town, or they are an old Hippie that is still living in the 60's. Everyone has dogs that are locked inside all day -- nonstop barking if you work from home, and owners never clean up their dog poop. Its an epidemic. Park is nice, but full of dog crap and it floods everytime it rains. The buildings were build likely before WWII, wiring is bad -- blew out two of my Plasmas. Floors are nice - hardwood, Walls are crrumbling in and paint chips fall as if you lived outside and all it did was slowly rain 24/7 on you. Hand wash dishes, no washer and drier - depends on unit. Rats, roaches, and mice are plentiful, which is what makes the place so bad. Had two Rats in one month even with strongest DCON and rat poisoin I put in weeks earlier because of the mice and roaches. House must be kept spotless -- NEVER leave food on the ground. I have spent $300 of my own on keeping rodents out since moving in -- buy the Electronic or Magnetic Pulse thingies and plug them into every room, 2 in the kitchen atleast. Its annoying, but worth it -- I used to hvae a mouse once a week, didnt see any droppings whatsoever after I bought the electronic deterrent. Put a roach or ant station in seriously every corner of the house and window ceil, but most inmporantly buy the greeen Rat Dcon that you can refill (roaches actualy love it, i find 2 or 3 dead each morning), or else they will come in -- there are lots of holes in the wall and subflooring, and tiling in batroom and ktichen peels back very easily -- use caulk or just hammer it down with a nail. You learn alot quickly in the first week regarding home improvement maintenance since its better to just do it yourself. If you know what to do and make sure to take aforementioned steps above, Id give the palce 2.5 of 5. its a 1.5 in my book -- out of 5. Good luck 1
