Lived here in the 90's and was lucky to get an apartment. Back then, it was who you knew that was moving out and name - dropping to get a studio. I was so poor, but so happy to get a place of my own. Turned out, my place was where everyone met before going out bc it was so convenient. No big parties - the manager was/is strict, but still a great place for that 1st apt. One story - Was "laying out" to get some sun. I was in a common area with a normal swimsuit on. But the girl renting the side apartment with her boyfriend had an issue with me apparently. She said that I couldn't "lay out" bc they paid more rent and that was their grass, or something like that. Another renter observing this exchange invited me to get some sun on the catwalk and we became friends. I did bring this up to management, who explained that this was family and we don't want to upset family values. Huh?
