When we showed up to move in, the leasing office was not expecting us. Apparently, whoever had done our application, had put us to move in on June 30 (not June 21). As a result, our apartment was not ready to be moved in. I had made contact with the leasing office prior to moving in, and had received a move in letter with the appropriate date (June 21) and had set up all utilities. For some reason, the office was still not prepared for us to move in. We were supposed to have a 2br 2.5bath, and our unit was infested with baby cockroaches and needed to be seen by the exterminator. We were told we could not move in for AT LEAST 2 weeks. We were already packed with our moving truck, and left without a home. The complex had no other 2 bedrooms or even 3 bedrooms available. The only option was to move into a 1 bedroom with a loft. It was not ideal, and it was probably one of the most frustrating experiences ever. I will say, however, the assistant manager , Brenda, was very accommodating. She recognized the error and did everything she could. I understand that it was not her fault, and despite all of the things that went wrong she did everything she could to try and make things right.
