Resident 2011 - 2015

3/23/2015

A week or so ago, there were several POLICE cars in the neighborhood. A couple of officers were talking to a man who I saw earlier pacing back and forth in front of the office area, on the phone yelling and cursing. I found out later that the police were here because someone (maybe that guy) had shown a gun or threatened someone with a gun. This was in the middle of the day! Makes you feel safe to walk around the neighborhood with small children right? NO! NO! NO! Trust me, YOU DO NOT WANT TO LIVE HERE! These reviews from people who have only lived here a few months, and 'haven't seen any shady people walking around' or have 'only seen 2 roaches' (I've seen many, many more) just haven't been here long enough. I can almost guarantee they will change their minds on the reviews they have written, and WILL NOT renew their lease here. They have recently installed water meters in the apartments, so they can start charging for water, which had never been the case in the past. We NEVER paid for water, but YOU will if you move here. On the same note, I had 2 complete strangers BANG on my door this morning while my husband was trying to sleep. They waited about 2 seconds after the knock before attempting to get into my apartment. Good thing I had the extra lock engaged. (The only locks on the front doors are the deadbolt and a chain, the doorknob doesn't have a lock on it). When I open the door, two men tell me they have to check the water meter that had been previously installed. I want to know WHY two men I had never seen before, dressed in plain clothing, had a key to get into my apartment? Shouldn't they have been accompanied by one of the maintenance staff? So NOW, the office just hands over keys so random people can get into your apartment! When we first moved here, it was probably the most desired place to live. NOW, probably the LEAST desired. They are so desperate to get new residents, that they put notices in our doors that said if we referred someone & that someone moved in, we would get $100 off our rent. The problem is, the only people that would refer someone are the (undesirables) in the neighborhood, and would therefore bring in MORE undesirables!
