These WERE great apartments before Goldmark took over. The previous ownership took great care of the grounds and maintenance requests. Goldmark took over and raised rent while decreased standards of living! I had a kitchen light malfunction that I was told for an entire week "we'll send someone this afternoon or tomorrow morning." Eight days later, it was finally fixed. The snow removal from the parking lot was a joke. It used to happen early in the morning so that people could get out to go to work. This past winter, it happened late morning, maybe not even until the next day; and sidewalks just didn't exist during the winter months. The office called to say they had a package of mine, and twice I went 10 minutes before posted closing of office hours to find the office already closed, then on the third try they couldn't find my package!     I've rented from the Southpointe community office in the Southgate buildings since July of last year. While I was pleased with the apartment, my neighbors were friendly, the maintenance was prompt, efficient, and done well, and I was able to do a little landscaping in front of my windows, I had an issue with Goldmark. The rent is being raised above the market value, though they state that it is the current market value for an apartment of the size I am currently in, yet I was told when I moved in that the rent would not be increasing, and if I renewed would likely not increase more than about $10/month. Had it only been $10/month, I wouldn't have complained, but it's more like 350% of what I was quoted. I'll be finding a new apartment since my grad school budget hasn't changed though their prices clearly have.

      this apartment is the one behind the Dairy Queen not in front of the Dairy queen. The photo pictured is the large one with the pool. The address of this one is the correct address listed but not the one pictured. The building used to be called Southpointe Court, but since Goldmark took over they now call it Maybrook. Their management style has turned it into a dump. Always dirty, snow never sholved at the doors, so the security doors are always open, this apartment has turned into ParkPlace and that is definintly a place to stay away from, thats where your management is and they never come here to check upon the place. 4 management companies have managed this complex and this one is the worst. Stay away from renting here, theres a reason why there is alway vacancies here... bad!

        Meh. I wouldn't rent again

        The GOOD: Maintenance staff is fast and professional. They always came within 24 hours. The BAD: Floors must be thin, because we could hear the neighbors all the time, to the point where we would hear specific words (like the "F" word). When we politely asked them to keep it down, they weren't exactly friendly about it. We never went to management about it, so we can't fault them. Just know that perhaps your neighbors are a little less than desirable. The UGLY: You pretty much will lose your security deposit. I hate to be another complainer about security deposits, but I think I figured out their situation. We cleaned and cleaned and left that place better than we moved in. They do an inventory. For example, there is one crumb in the fridge (as in, you can take your finger and wipe it away, and bingo, now it's 100% spotless). Fridge is now labeled "needs cleaning." Because something "needs cleaning," they will call professionals and then bill you $22 an hour for the service. Windows are clean. Well, no.           Extremely Nice!

          It's peaceful here. The rent is very affordable...I dare you to shop around. We have cable and internet and other places cost just as much, but without those two nice amenities. We also have a fitness center with a sauna which isn't busy like the gym and it's inside our building so we don't have to bundle up to go to the gym in the winter. Their is also a table and vending machines and a change machine inside the fitness center so if your apartment is messy or you just want to feel like you're at a nice hotel with some friend/family, enjoy some time in the fitness center. The pool is open during the summer months and is fenced in. There is plenty of seating avaiable and benches outside near the pool area and lots of sand for children to play in. There are four washers and dryers on each floor. This is a three-floor building, but no worries because there is an elevator and four stairwells and the hallways are wide, bright, and clean.             Not a nightmare, southpointe is great

            After living in apartments where maintenance and cleaning of the building seems to be in the back of the mind of the management, I am in love with southpointe. The management takes care of problems promptly and thouroughly. The building is quiet and comfortable. I would suggest this place to anyone!

              Southpointe apartments are first rate. Excellant maintenance. I would highly recommend Southpointe apartments to anyone. It is one of fargos finest apartment communities. I was truly impressed with the entire staff.

                Absolute Nightmare

                The management is absolutely horrible and won't kick out frequent offenders (parties, noise, missed rent). Police were frequently called when I lived there. Security is horrible. Keyed entry, but the doors are typically propped open anyways or broken. I know of other tenants who had their vehicles vandalized. Dairy Queen right next door, so you'll have to listen to them take orders until 11:00pm every night. Located right next to 32nd Ave S, so you'll have to put up with lots of traffic and car stereos to listen to if you live on the wrong side of the building. Walls, floors and ceilings are paper-thin. You listen to neighbors every night screaming, yelling, "getting it on"... Only one laundry room (of which typically only two washers and dryers worked) to serve an entire 3 floor building. Maintenance was extremely slow. The management seemed to rent to ANYBODY with money. There were many other terrible things that I won't list. If you can, avoid this one at ALL cost.
