Meadow Wood Apartments

Sleazy. Apartments were fine to live in, maintenance was taken care of, reasonable cost. Like many of the Google reviews say, don't believe a word they say when you move out. You WILL NOT get pro-rated. We were told that the carpets were bad when we moved in, so they were going to replace them regardless. When they sent the security deposit, we were charged for 20% of carpet replacement "because they were worse than they were when we moved in". We vacuumed the whole apartment thoroughly, but did not attempt to use a rug doctor or anything of the sort since they said the carpets were getting replaced anyway. Better yet, we were told "well those cost $150 anyway so it doesn't matter". When we asked about being pro-rated we were told "well nobody moved in early, and there was no maintenance to do so there was nothing to pro-rated" when we asked them to take it off of the carpet fee they said "we were being nice by charging you 20% so that's non-negotiable". End of the day, they'll act nice, but get absolutely everything regarding money in writing, as they'll do anything they can to keep your deposit, no matter what you're told throughout the move-out process.
