Resident 2014 - 2015

12/27/2015

The units are well-insulated, clean, grounds are maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. If something needs to get fixed in your unit, it usually gets repaired within the week. The cost of living is high in this area.We are in an excellent school district, but there are the usual challenges of living in a more affluent community. This apartment complex allows pets, so hopefully the tenants clean after and leash their pets- for the most part they do. The tenants are allowed to smoke on the grounds and balconies, so opening your windows is at your own risk. Since lots of tenants have pets, I imagine carpet wears faster in those units. Fortunately the carpet was new when I moved in-I could barely smell the dog(s) that previously lived there. Eventually the smell disappeared (I have a sensitive nose). Overall I like living here. I wish it had a playground on the grounds as this fosters a sense of community. And if they had a no smoking policy (throughout the property), I think I could justify the high rent. It is over $800 for a one-bedroom and over $1,000 for a two-bedroom. Each year I renew I must make that difficult decision. The units are very spacious and get enough light if your windows face south. The windows are not very big. It is nice to have a gas fireplace and spacious kitchen. The kitchen has lots of cabinet space with a few more in laundry room/mud room. I wish the balcony was bigger to accomodate storage for bikes, Christmas tree, ornaments, etc.
