Alright!! I am not the one who bashes on people especially places I live in. The moment I saw Enclave I loved it. I loved that it was gated. Amanda who worked in the office was super nice and very accomadating. But things change when circumstances change and that is exactly what happened. 2 days ago (Jan1-2013 night) someone broke into my husband's BMW. On the same night 5 other cars were broken into (info I got from Amanda when we saw her the following morning). Few weeks prior to that, a few more cars got broken into and they started the Signal 88 (security) patrolling the apartments 6 times/night (again info from Amanda). However they broke into the car, didnt take anything but strew stuff all over the seats.
When I asked Amanda what the apartments would do to keep us safe, she said there is NOTHING that they can do and that we have to fill an incidence report form and that the rest is between the cops, insurance and us.
Hello?? I am paying close to $1000/mo for a 2bed-2bath because its in a gated community. We thought it would be safe. The least you could ensure us is that you'll would take extra measures to keep the apartment complex safe like installing cameras (albeit fake)or for crying out loud to keep your tenants happy - offer a discount of some sort in rent or otherwise! Instead they said there was nothing they could do!!
I feel unsafe now. I wake up to every single noise in the apartments. If someone could do that to the car, what keeps them from breaking into an apartment? Then why am I paying so much for a gated community! Was very happy with Enclave, but I dont care for it anymore!!!
