Resident 2007 - 2011

Absolutely don't move here, unless you don't even have a cardboard box to live in!

We have lived here four years, due to the close proximity to Creighton. We live in the Kellom Ridges, which are the townhomes, but they don't have it on here. They are all managed by the same people, though. We have had so many problems that we can't even keep up with them! Biggest issue, they change their entire management every few months, so when you go in there you don't know if you will be seeing a familiar face, or someone new. The best manager we had was here less than a month! We tried paying our rent per semester, but the first time we did that, they credited our entire $5000 check to someone else's account. Luckily they were friends of ours, otherwise we would not have gotten it back, because they shred the checks once they run them through their system. When we first moved in they told us that our rent would not go up, as long as we continued to sign 12 month contracts. Last year they raised it $45/month. Whenever we have maintenance issues, my husband has to call, because they won't respond to my calls. For example, our front window has been leaking every time it rains. I have called about it several times, and no response. I finally went in 5 days ago and personally made a complaint to them, since it had been raining nonstop for several days. The manager even filled out the ticket right in front of me. Still no response. Still leaking. They say that they prorate for partial months. I went in to give our 30 day notice that we were moving, 32 days prior to us leaving. The manager said that they wouldn't prorate us because we hadn't told them the month prior, so we had to pay for the entire month, even though we will only be here for half of it. When I questioned her about it, and she got our contract and show me some vague line about 30 days needing to be the previous month, and that was the reason the was going to charge an extra $400! The neighborhood is pretty sketchy! A week doesn't go by that there isn't a police officer in the neighborhood. Domestic violence is rampant! The "security" changes often as well, so when we do want to report a problem, we never know who to call. When the maintenance people do show up, they do a good job, but again, they change frequently too.
