Resident 2011 - 2014

2/26/2014

To start, I just want to mention that when my roommates and I were looking for a new place, we were looking for a quiet complex and we're home bodies so we weren't needing a big pool or a bunch of extra amenities. We've been in a 3 bed for almost 3 years and now I have to move for work. Dawn in the office has been great getting all the paperwork together. When we originally moved in we were shown a few options, all were pretty good especially for the money. We settled on a top floor 3 bed, 2bath, with a den. Our living room is definitely sufficient size for 3 adults (full size ping pong table fit fine and played quite a few times with enough room to move around). All gas is included which is awesome. We also got a garage with our lease (it was required for us since parking is kind of limited). I've never actually had a problem finding a spot to park but it's not "outrageous" to make us do that. Makes sense besides, extra storage. I'm kind of sad I'm leaving because we had some great neighbors. This IS an older complex but that's actually a good thing. The walls aren't 100% sound proof but we also had a dart board and our downstairs neighbors never complained (and we actually tested the noise level with them so we didn't erk them. Just the "respect your neighbor" theory we follow). They do have security driving around at night now that there has been some car break ins. Of course, it wont stop all of it but it does make you feel better that not only is security driving around, but they care about your safety and comfort while you're living there. I'm kind of all over the place (english wasn't my strong suit), amenities I would say are fair. They do have a pool and gym but are only open when the office is (extended hours during the summer time for the pool). We used our den as a gym basically so no need to go use their equipment. They have I believe a couple areas in the club house where you can host a get together but never used them. The school bus drops kids off right by the clubhouse (not sure of times and whatnot, no kids). I've had a few packages that I wasn't home for and they took them and each time I had one, it was behind a locked door. I tend to track them so I know when they arrive and don't let them sit there. Never a good idea anyways if you know you're accepting one. Back on track here....Overall this has been a WONDERFUL place to live and if I move back and decide to rent instead of buy, I'll be coming back here. (btw, our rent included the garage & all gas)
